smart thumbs and google

hi recently switced to st because comus has had issues.
although i only had one site at the time. i ranked number one in google on what i wanted to. since the switch all rankings have gone away. talking with some people, they say it should come back and google "sandboxed" me . im just a little nervous though.

what do you guys think?

I'm not sure, but I don't think the comus/st switch had anything to do with that. Did you keep the same texts and meta description, title, etc ?

i didnt change a thing. ive got at least 45 inbound links with just the same phrase. i do find it very wierd. i did recently change a little bit 3 weeks after the drop in hopes to get it up. i do realize it is quite wierd, especially since i started a new site and have managed to get the number 1 rank with a key word. i know it may not stay for long since its new and it hasnt had its thorough test from google yet.

Ok if you have not done so already there is one thing you could try : manualy submit to google ( if you haven't done this before ) and put up a google sitemap.

Also did you follow these guidelines? :

Keep your content on one domain name. Do not mirror your content on several different web addresses, or use the same content on different pages of the same site.

NEVER add your link to a link farm. The ONLY links you want pointing to your website, are from pages that relate in content to your website.

Do not use keyword stuffing to trick search engines. Use a Keyword Density Analyzer to make sure your site doesn't appear as spam.

Don't ever use hidden text to increase your keyword density. Remember, Google knows how to read most HTML code.

Avoid pointing to sites that have been penalized or have been sandboxed. In fact, try to only point to pages with a PR4+, if you're trying to improve your PageRank.

Always use your best judgement and write content for your viewers, NOT for the search engines.

i am thinking what you are saying happened is because by switching to smart thumbs my new niche pages had a different url. i kept the old pages up with the same meta tags in it and title because i had link trades to those pages. i will take out all meta tags and titls to those pages and just post the link trades for those pages. maybe that will do the trick.

Indeed you could try that. Make a new thread about when ( or if ) if that helps you to get sandboxed :)
