I will answer this since it is a business thread.

It will never be like it was, but since we do operate so many different sites, and do our own billing in house and have over 20K affiliates. I can tell you one thing. Sales are still happening.

But again, it will never be like it was in the early years.

Why do people even say TGP's will be back?
Did everyone really get that addicted to and hung up on them as the only way to make money.

Dave its actually better than the early years for some companies. True Dat! Shits different for affiliates that push/own paysites. Sign of the times. The hogs are making money that the owners of yesteryear cant imagine nowadays and I've been pimping this shit since 96'.

This industry will be the last to die....just changing which it does about every 7-10 years....time to innovate, be creative and change business models.

I think you all will quit soon and it will be really easy for me then :)

i love the biz but affiliates are getting squeezed out. there are greener fields elsewhere but i'll still stick my head through the fence and munch on some adult grass too.

My thoughts are, the industry as a whole is in a slump.

But for those of us who are in a position to weather the storm of the next 12-18 months. We will be back to the 'good ole days' in no time.

Keep your revenue, and margin's high. Costs low. Automate your scripts and sites as much as you can. Work on some new traffic streams. Switch your sites to delivery and presentation of customer choice. Launch some new ideas and test em. Work on becoming self service. Not defendant on others. Including your own traffic sources. No more over reliance on affiliates.

For those not in a position to weather the storm. Go get yourself a beer and cry in it.
