Should an enter page be used for our sites

As a recent webmaster of an adult site should I use a disclaimer page to cover my ass in case an under age kid finds me? I see a lot of sites don't but I do have some very explicit pics and videos on my index page. Also on a semi-related note does hot linking your pics make any difference to search engine ranking?

If you really have very explicit content like fisting etc then maybe it's not a bad idea to put up a disclaimer page. you could also put a disclaimer on the bottom of your pages as well mentioning about USC2270 for the models on yout site. But make sure you monitor everything closely with an analytics program like for example "google analytics" so you're sure you don't lose all your traffic on the first page :)

I'm pretty sure hotlinking your pics doesn't make any difference to search engine ranking. But since nobody knows exactly how google works you are never 100% sure.

Why not use one? I mean, it's not going to hurt anything. Better to cover your ass than to run into a nasty situation later down the road.

Thanks for the input. I think I would feel safer with an entrance page,and since hotlinking is a lot faster than d/l and u/l pics I will keep on doing it!:2 cents:

im pretty new as well. can someone inform me on any applicable laws or what's the worst that can happen if an entrance page is not displayed.

I would put it there to keep on the safe side, can't hurt you to have one!! Give it a go...
