Better late than never, right folks?

Due to our extended stay in Europe, the lousy Internet connection we had and the extensive number of pics we took, there was a slight delay in getting all the pictures up, but up they are on FUBARwebmasters.com.

A little of the back story.

For the past two years after the Amsterdam show I have gone to Northern Germany to visit friends, while everyone else went to Munich for Oktoberfest. One of my buddies (Martin) told me that this year he was going to make sure he was free during my visit so we could go off and do some more exploring. I told him we would like to see mountains, rivers and old buildings. Castles would rock.

Well, Martin filled all our wishes, and in spades. We went to the Rhineland looking for castles. It just so happened that we got to this one part of the Rhine just in time for their Second Annual Rhein Partie. For two nights they lit up all the castles along this portion of the river. To say it was amazing would be an understatement.

The amazing part was our timing. None of us knew this event was happening, we just stumbled onto it. After a few minutes in the Rhineland we started scouting the mountain tops for castles. They were everywhere. I guess they have the highest concentration of castles along that stretch than anywhere in the world.

Thank you. The US has a lot to offer as well. EU is just a lot older, many times.

Mostly between Ruedesheim and Koblenz. There were no cities to speak of and definitely no night life. We stayed in small villages. We will do it again.
