SEO Books or Websites? Best Ones

Have a new client who needs to do a lot of SEO on his site to revamp it and look at some new ways to SEO his site. Mainstream but been lurking and posting enough to know that the GFY crowd is awesome at SEO stuff.

Anyone have any books they recommend on SEO or some basic/advanced websites for SEO that they can guide me on?

Done a little SEO with meta tags and descriptions, but know that's a little piece of the larger SEO package.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

If you're doing this for a client and asking these questions, you are doing them a huge dis-service to attempt to SEO their sites when you have no clue.

meta tags are the way to go. get those optimized and you too will dominate google.

i'm a finance and credit guy during the day and part time web guy. The healthcare professional i work for has a site but a ton of less than perfect reviews come up when the name is typed up. Trying to build a personal site with more SEO than it currently has.

Have tinkered around with various blogs and sites but never professionally with SEO and stuff. I'm not getting paid for it so it's a work in progress.

So no, not scamming anymore. thanks

seo and google page rank bring me back to 1999. link velocity is all they need to know. you shouldnt need a book to figure out how to write your meta tags

Forums are best bet. If it has reached a book, it is typically played out or no longer works. Unless it is painfully obvious no shit type advice.
