WTF is the NFL's problem? BS Rules are killing the game!
I dont want to go off on a rant so I will keep this short. These new rules to protect the QB. Why dont they just put flags on these guys lol? I mean you cant tackle a QB below the knees? My chargers great JR Seau got half his sacks probably that low. That was his style, no big deal, he got the job done. So instead today a good portion of his low sacks would have been 15 yard penaltys. Just put flags on these QB's already. I mean this is football right?
Ok one more thing. Last week Ray Lewis. Both 15 yard penalties were BS and it cost them the game. The hit was clean on Ocho and the kick was a trip, not a kick. Idiot rules. Let these guys play. Its a smash mouth game. Playfootball. Tom Brady pull up your skirt. |
Tom Brady is the NFL poster boy

It's all about the money, the owners pay the QBs big bucks and want to protect their investments. I've seen where the defender is tackled into the QB and they throw the flag, Might as well have them dress in pink tutus

I am so glad that I don't care about this stupid shit
It's just normal people wasting their time, money and emotion on something that could care fucking less about them... then there's a brotherhood, yay, what the fuck have they ever done for you.. your fellow _insert stupid team name here_ fans? Please |
QBs are the sacred cash cows, cant have them getting annihilated

There's definitely more than enough rules for protecting the quarterback in the NFL. The problem I have is with the calls the refs make, because they don't seem to use enough sense sometimes.
I mean if a defender is rushing the QB and is moving full force towards him and the QB unloads the ball at the last split second there is no way that that pass rusher can avoid the collision. I get it about the late hit thing, but there's a fine line there where the ref must be able to tell the difference between a late hit and an unavoidable collision. If you're going to throw the flag at least have it be for a clear DECISIVE infraction. |
Who fucking cares
Okay look it When I was very young they made us play this game Capture the flag Well I got away with it every time I go across the line casual and I'm frontin' being on the other team like guarding and blocking and all of this .. I finally get to the back and get their flag and slide it across the gym floor to my team No problem Eventually they made one team wear vests Lo MFING L Stupid assed fucks Fuck sports I played soccer too.. Use to kick the ball right into motherfuckers heads for fun I hated school and quit when I was 12 And my IQ was huge They had me fucking with college level shit when I was 12 You ass hats Fuck football you idiots |
it's a good rule.
waitt, scratch that, it's a GREAT rule. there are more top-notch QBs playing now than ever before at any one time, and the rule is in place to make sure those QB's are around at the end of the season/post-season. today, the game is all about terrific quarterbacks, the league knows that. it's not an easy position to play in the slightest and these QB's need this rule. fact is, every new rule has a learning curve and this one is no exception. not trying to be a dick here to fellow football fans but i completely see the reasoning behind it. |

There are too many hood antics in the nfl and this is the fallout.
I can't wait until they stop victory dances. Or, if they can't, at least make rhythm training mandatory for the white guys. Duke |

I still think it's hilarious that there's a penalty for TAUNTING. Soon there's be a penalty for cursing and mad dogging too.
With all the rules to protect the QB, there's almost no point to running the football. Even if the defense knows each play will be a passing play and blitz each time, there's a reasonable chance someone will get a penalty against the QB. The fact that there's so many good QBs today is perfect reason NOT to coddle them...they can handle themselves perfectly fine without all these lush comfy rules to protect them. |

The refs do need to use a bit more judgement. It is often to stop your momentum in 2 steps before plowing someone, when having to see if they have the ball or just let it go. Same sort of goes to the poor kickers who still have it the worst in the game.
On other side teams do spend tens of millions per year on that one position. They are partial sitting ducks (unlike kicker who is). They are smaller and well getting hit as it is in the NFL is akin to a car crash at roughly what was it 30 mph. Few want to have these people injured, and as it is even the easier positions end up crippled for life shortly after retirement. |
