Any demand for a gallery/fhg management script like this?
-Allows you to upload a .zip and it will unzip the contained images into a folder and crop/watermark them and generate a .html gallery based on your template.
-Load a list of sponsor FHG URLs with titles and description and it will rip each gallery to it's own folder on your server and automatically crop/watermark(or not watermark) them and generate .html gallery based on your template. -Specify a limit on the amount of images to gather from each FHG (ex: 14). -Can zip up all of your galleries into a single or each separate .zip file in each galleries folder or to a desired location. -Store sponsor names, login(s), URLs, your affiliate link(s), banner(s), etc. and attach each gallery to it's sponsor. -Store reciprocal image(s) and URLs for sites you submit to and have a separate gallery page generated for each one or include multiple recips on each page. -Set a permanent width/height for thumbs or use a custom one on the fly when creating or gathering galleries. -Set a custom width/height for certain images in your template, such as when you have 1 large thumb followed by the usual rows of thumbs. -Raise/lower image quality to save bandwidth. -A manual single image cropper of course, but galleries can be auto-cropped with 1 click. -Smart auto-cropper, can distinguish between portrait or landscape images and choose the best area and location to crop. No more odd shaped or stretched thumbs. -Grab [X] amount of random images from current galleries and generate a new one. -Folder and filenames contain titles/descriptions for SEO. -Uses mostly Ajax so the work is instantly finished and result shown instead of waiting for redirects and pages to reload. -Premade file to include on your layout that will list all your hosted galleries. -Whatever else I think of along the way.. |

You mean like www.gallerydaemon.com and www.arylia.com ?
|
arylia and gallery daemon are already good products
|
Doesn't look like there is much demand, or people can't afford to pay for something right now that they can get by with on a free script. As for the 'theres already a script that does that' comments, I expected them, no offense (honestly), I know these exist, I'll just say that Ford isn't the only car company lol..

If you can make a product as good or better than existing ones, I don't see why it wouldn't work... :2 cents:

Point being, Gallery systems aren't really in high priority, and even so, GalleryDaemon and Arylia are pretty prominent products in that market already, so it's hard to move into a dominated area unless you got something they can't do that people want badly. |
sorry, answered the wrong thread
