Anyone know someone with swine flu?
 

Half my family is sick and my niece is in the hospital right now all hooked up and shit and they r running the swine flu test which the Dr. said it looks like it and a bad case of it, if that is true which I should find out within the next hour or so then that means over half of my family has it!!

So was wondering if you knew anyone and how well they did?

i have 2 friends that caught it

they are fine now tho

They found my best friends girlfriend yesterday dead in bed and they think it was the swine flu.

It was the flu but we are waiting on the tests to know if it was swine flu or normal flu.

She died in her sleep at 42 years old.

He was fighting with her the past month so he wasn't with her.

Omg that is sad, if this is what it is my mother has it as well and she isnt doing very well before it! :(

Thanks im just sick to my stomach right now not knowing hell I've kept my kids home more this year then ever before and they have been home for the last two days and wont be going back for a while :( Depending on what happens I should have the drive out today! it's been confirmed :O( They all have swine fucking flu!

My sister, who is handicapped, had the swine flu. After a Zpac, and antibiotic she was up and running in 2 days.

Glad they caught it.
Guess its time to get everyone else in.
Let the treatment get going. That alone gives you a major heads up on many.

I'm pretty sure I'm getting over it right now..

Went to a party Saturday night.. found out Sunday afternoon that one of the girls there got diagnosed with it, then my roomie and I started coughing a bit.. didn't think much of it.. woke up Monday feeling like shit. Half the party came down with it(about 90 people).

We just drank a lot of apple juice/OJ and many hours of sleep. But.. we're both young, fit guys so.. maybe a different story for others.

I feel better, minus a terrible cough.. Fever broke last night and got my appetite back around then. I'm hoping it doesn't come back... I've heard a few people think they were "better" and then it bruce lee'd them in the ass. :mad:

I just got back from hospital hell I thought I was going to pass the hell out from wearing that damn mask lol but mom is sick as shit but chest xray was good! crossing fingers I or my kids don't get it! Going to call schools and tell them my two are not coming back till they have their shots * YES I want it and I want my kids to get the shot * lol

Is the vaccine available where you are at? It isn't available at all in my area.

They are saying the 29th for my area Vabch already had their schools done!~

That's a bit... odd. The swine flu is viral, and antibiotics only kill bacteria. Although if she had any opportunistic infections along with the swine flu, antibiotics could be of use against those.

Either way, it's a good thing she was up and running again soon :thumbsup

that's very sad. I hope your family makes it thru it. For what I've heard, it's a very painful/uncomfortable illness

My mother in law has had it and gotten over it all ready. She has had cancer a couple times. So, they were very quick to get her on all the drugs. It was hard for a few weeks and now she appears to be back to where she was beforehand.

2 of my friend got swine flu. They took the medication and in a few days they were ok, no big deal.

A guy I know had it and after a week or so of rest he was just fine...

I have a few younger cousins and one aunt (who's a school nurse) who've had it and they've gotten over it.

I have a 3 year old cousin who had it...she'd been in coma for about two days and the case was really bad.. she took a lot of meds and recovered very well! :)

Yes it is uncomfortable, just like the flu. Not sure where you get painful from unless you just mean the general coughing, tiredness, sick of being sick, and at worse dry heaves.

I've only gotten sick once in life..
..sometimes I take my strong immune system for granted..

2 friends that had it.. one got pneumonia (sp?) and the other shrugged it off.
Both are fine.

I have been told that if you end up on ventilator, odds of survival are low.

Hope everyone recovers in your family Tom. My sister in law came down with it a few weeks ago and it lasted about a week for her. Luckily nothing here at my place for the wife and I.

Tom I have had a few family members get it when it started last year and all recovered thankfully. They were very sick for over a week though. I hope all in your family get well soon.

Other then that it has been a hell of a day and it's back to getting worse niece fever is up to 103.8 shoved pills down her throat if not better in 40 mins will be calling ambulance!

And to think..... the cause of all of this is parents who send their kids to school sick because they can't be hassled with keeping them home.

You know what I almost 100% fucking agree but then you have the god damn school people calling you and threating you with social services and going to court and being arrested if your child misses more then 10 days of school! I told them basically gfy!

I called school board threating to call the news etc.. then after a hour or so had the principal calling me saying she is very sorry for the counselors action and she will assure me that wont happen, she assures me with all the reports of swine flu that she will not allow for this to happen. She also thanked me for keeping them home from school like I have and she understood! It's a fucking mess around here im telling you!

May want some ice inside of ziplock bags. Go for groin, armpits, feet, forehead.
Heck for head an iced wash cloth typically is easiest.
