Unless someone else uses Dugmor as a descriptor for ccBill, I busted a guy trying to chargeback a membership.

Same goes for Stile, he was charging back Camwhores

Actually is there any limit for chargebacks, like if you do to many (all for legit reasons) does your account get "flagged"

And Pipecrew, there's no limit to chargebacks. If you keep getting screwed, we keep covering your ass. And I deal with any sort of chargeback, as well as any other customer service problem. Do you have a TD Visa?

On a related note, I recently busted a guy disputing a non-porn memebership. His password was "asslick". We all had a good laugh at work.

He has a subscription to one of Dugmor's sites, billed thru ccBill. He was trying to say it wasn't his, although he's had it recurring for a few months. Same for Camwhores.

What kind of questions are you told to ask to verify if a chargeback is valid in each case? Are you supposed to investigate the claim or are most of the people that work with you fairly quick on the refund trigger?

I also wanted to chargeback on a host that took an extra payment after I left, but I had to write a letter to even start the process. That was cibc visa.

Now I use American express for everything I can because they are very very good on stuff like that. Although I never needed to ask for a charge to be removed so far.

when you call for a chargeback, we ask the reason for the chargeback. depending on the reason, there's certain actions that need to be taken.
if you're disputing a charge from a merchant that falls in the 5967 category (internet merchants) or any other merchants where there's no signed contract/receipt, Visa (any bank) needs a signed letter from you attesting to the fact that the charge was unauthorized.

each claim is investigated.
each chargeback is looked at individually and subjectively, regardless of who you are ($500 limit, $50k limit, 1 year with us, 20 years with us) or who the merchant is.
in fact, those doing the chargeback only know your card number, name and address. they don't know your credit limit, payment history, how long you've had the card, etc.
if the merchant fails to prove the transaction was authorized by the cardholder within 45 days of the dispute, the chargeback is resolved in the cardholder's favor.

i ask more questions then necessary when someone calls for a porn chargeback because myself and a co-worker are working on a pilot chargeback project to reduce porn chargebacks.

I think it is excellent that we have a guy from Visa working for all us Adult Webmasters. I am glad that you communicate directly with us and keep us up to date with your very important part of our industry. I think everyone that has ever experienced a fraudulent charge back owes you a drink.
