Naughty America is hiring for two PHP developers, one developer and one more senior developer.

I am looking for really intelligent, problem solving types who can get things done! When I say PHP developers that means a lot of things in my mind, I don't just want some guy who can write PHP code. I'm looking for people with the following:

* Great PHP skills
* Great understanding of MySQL and relational databases
* Obviously good XHTML/CSS is important
* Great JS/AJAX skills
* Strong understanding of Linux/Unix and very comfortable with shell scripting and working on the command line
* Not know just how to code, but understand the concepts of the system behind it and have the ability to come up with inventive new ways to do things

There's a whole laundry list I could put down here but if you're a smart developer you get the idea. I'm looking for people who know their shit and are excited about working with a large company like Naughty America with the opportunity to write code for and work with highly available systems that do a lot of traffic. This is a great opportunity for people to have a chance to work with high traffic sites and develop cutting edge web technology. You'd also get the chance to help develop really cool new technologies brand new to the industry and the web in general.

The job is in-house only in our office in Downtown San Diego, if you live somewhere else, but have really got what it takes we'd be willing to relocate you. good luck - that salary isn't going to get you a stud programmer unless you're lucky, decent programmers who are nothing special get paid that in this industry.

Don't confuse hourly rates of freelancers with a full time job, in-house, with benefits etc. (like 100% paid health, dental, and vision)

The bennies are worth 15K a year to a guy with a family.

Plus they're just posting here for the hell of it IMO....they'll probably get a shitload more qualified applicants from locals who see that craigslist ad than from adult boards.

Also, if you haven't noticed, there's a recession going on with 10% unemployment. A buyers market if there ever was one. :2 cents:

Mutt is right... skilled, experienced "senior" level web programmer gets 100k+ (+ benefits) at a mainstream company, even with this economy now...

and for a porn companies there should probably even be a 10-20k premium... once you step into adult, there is no getting out... your resume gets tainted forever....

so mutt is completely right, the salary offered is more for a low-mid range developer... :2 cents:

i've probed alot of the top freelance guys who program in adult about working in house - nobody, i mean nobody good, is interested for much less than 100K or equity.

i agree, i think they'll have better luck on Craigslist.

I wish I was more motivated... I could do this and do what I do for myself... But then I could do for myself twice and keep 4 times the cash... I need a drink...

All I ever want to do is be able to develop things for high traffic sites and actually see my creations at major work with some serious feedback, since I'm more of an idea person than actual promotional and sales stuff, but I'm not sure if I'd be able to relocate. I'm not exactly a 'professional' either but fuck, I get whatever I need done.

Awesome opportunity.. the guys @ NA are different than any I've met somehow and you can just tell they're some cool cats to work for. Be prepared to give it your all as they all, give it THEIR all!
