Road trip. (pics)
We decided we needed a little vacation, and figured that since leaves are changing colors, this would be a good time to take a little road trip.
So far we have been in IL, IN, OH, KY and WV. It has been great. Here are a few pics. Where in WV did ya go?
Through Greenbriar and all that... are the most beautiful WV roads you can take... and the New River Gorge area... breathtaking.. One wrong turn though.. and its Deliverance.lol |

Damn...BadDog...you do get around. I am envious as it is difficult for me to travel anymore. Some years ago...when I still had a motor home...I spent about four months traveling the States. I hit every state in the union other than Alaska and Hawaii.
I have been considering buying another motor home and hitting Alaska next summer...but as I said I don't travel well anymore...so we will see. |

So, when we left off we had just arrived in Huntington, WV. You may have heard of it from the movie, "We Are Marshall."
Anyhow, woke up with a nice view of the Ohio River. The lady at the registration desk had talked up Hawks Nest and the New River Gorge Bridge, so off we went. Glad we did. Headed thru VA, but it rained all day and really did not get to see much. Stayed in Abingdon, VA at the Martha Washington Inn. Historic place, was a pleasant surprise since I almost got a "luxury room" at the Comfort Inn. We then headed off into TN.

bro you need to take your bike on i35 in wisconsin, runs along the mississippi in all the bluffs, fucking beautiful and loads of fun on a bike.

Got up early to shoot the sunrise over the Smoky Mountains. Pretty cool. Now, off to find some bears . . . hopefully.
