Nope. Not offensive. Depending on what other words you will include in your domain of course.

Probably not offensive. The only thing that's offensive is to call a straight man a homo.

there was a good thread about it at boy alley's old gay forum. much different answers you get from actual gay webmasters.

I don't think it's that offensive, but I wouldn't use it when marketing in the gay niche.

never start sites in a niche you dont know

I don't agree. We've reclaimed that word kind of like we've reclaimed queer. Used properly, it doesn't have any negative connotations anymore. Totally safe to sue in a marketing campaign in my opinion.

oddly enough i also read a thread at the same board where people were offended by "queer" which i found surprising.

i guess there is no hard and fast answer and as many opinions and people.

A gay guy I was talking to said "People don't even think I sound gay." I told him "You sound pretty gay to me."

He was pissed.

as long as the site is not offensive, homo is OK (but not the best choice) for a gay site
