fuck, my pr5 dropped to pr4 :(

for me overall not alot of movement, a few minor moves up or down one point, but in 95% of cases no change at all

OMG! OMG! PR changed for someone somewhere! OMG! PANIC! I can't overcharge for my shitty domain anymore! OMG!

when you manage hundreds of domains, you will notice changes almost weekly.

I was just thinking, doing updates like this is a good way for google to get a shitload of toolbar installs again... I installed it then uninstalled, but I bet alot of people just leave it installed :upsidedow

I dont care about PR but still PR is indicator of howmany backlinks site have and it requied to have good PR if you want to link exchange with other sites who have good PR.

ps: removing pr from the toolbar from and removing pr from the algo are two different things.

pr has been worthless with my serps for some time now.. i have sites with pr 0 and 1 on page 1 in google for their keywords, and they are good spots.

i thought that was scheduled for the first week of january while everybodys in vegas, somethings not right :evil-laug

If you've actually done any research or SEO yourself you'd see that your position in the SERPs is in no way relative to your pagerank. The one and only purpose of SEO is to rank higher in the search engines, NOT to make the little green bar move.

Red paint is useless for painting cars now. I have a blue car, and a green car, and they get me everywhere I need to go, and they are good cars.

argh, yea i posted the wrong link. Either way PageRank is being dropped from the algorithm, however the concept of building reputable/relevant links to your site still stands.

Make a site worth linking to and get links from sites that know what they're talking about. There's more work in checking if a site is "reputable" now but it's worth it in the long run.
