Newbie saying Hello!
 

OK - I've been visiting this board from time to time over the last couple of years.

I've wrestled with the idea of promoting a porn site because It's something I enjoy and no matter how I look at it, It would be a dream job to manage a network of adult sites.
My conscious got the better of me over the years (don't hate) - so I never truly bothered making the effort.

I've been a web developer for some very high profile .coms over 10 years now - and now I feel the need to start working for not just a living but for my enjoyment as well.

So yah - Hello everybody!

If you have any tips on how to quickly gain traffic i'd appreciate it.

My preferred niche are as follows:

Big Boobs
Amateurs (Girl friend, Hairy etc.)
Teen

I'm currently concentrating on a Big Boob site - which I aim to launch shortly.

Welcome to GFY. If you want us to help you out with some traffic tips then you need to let us know what sort of site you are launching. Is it a blog, a TGP, a paysite, etc . . because each would require slightly different approaches in terms of traffic.

I'm a content writer (blogs, stories etc) for adult webmasters; i get the boring work!

I was thinking of putting together an affiliate blog. Haven't decided what to promote yet, and i don't understand fully how to go about it to be honest.

I think i buy a domain, get a server, but then what? I know i have to write on it and post all the links etc (that's what i do!) but i'm not quite sure what happens between the "getting a good server" (any ideas here?) and "writing the blog".

I think i need to know what i write it on etc. Do i install wordpress or something on my hosted domain? Excuse my ignorance, i am only a writer.

They are pretty reasonable and provide online support.

OK, a few simple blog traffic tips then . .
1. Update regularly (daily if possible). Try to add in some hand-written posts as well as your RSS feeds.
2. Install Google Sitemaps Plug-in (automatically informs Google every time your blog changes).
3. Get as many quality backlinks as you can (quality means sites with content related to yours).
4. Pick out individual posts from your blog which you think are interesting and different and post them onto forums concerned with those topics.
There's a few to get you started . . I am sure others can add more . . :thumbsup

Get a domain, get some hosting. Point the domain at the hosting. Install Wordpress, customize it with a free theme if you want. Add in some plug-ins like Google SiteMaps to help with SEO, then start writing posts . . . regularly! And you're all set :thumbsup

Hi all - site went live last night but I'm still waiting on some feedback.

I won't be doing any teen blogging as that would be too much work. Blogging hirstute women is up in the air for now, as I think i'll be concentrating on updating this big boob site on a regular basis.

Realistically - I don't expect any good traffic for atleast 6 to 12 months, unless a miracle happens.
