lets see Microsoft buys everything they should of developed themselves and develops things they should of just purchased, so they will just copy and come to the party late with a version that will crash

google is busy focusing on other things and dont think they will buy this

apple maybe

all one needs to do is take that student and pay him good cash and let him sleep a bit

'You don't pull your phone out in the supermarket and Google what is the most economical toilet paper to buy'

LOL I've actually done something similiar to this on more than one occasion, like quickly looking up ABV percentages to buy the most potent beer.

Pretty cool stuff, I don't think we'll see a day when everyone is in the supermarket picking up various items and scanning them for info, that would be kind of weird, but they'll find a way to implement it.

lol helping people be lazier makes for a good business model

funny how the dopey kid in the back seat of his dads car gets 80 million hits and a tech link gets 5

How's this for future tech....

If you want to access META-information, you
'sleep program' - that is, you can find out
anything overnight - via sleep programming

What is sleep programming? It's good you asked,
my child... It's the 'request' of data via voice,
you go to sleep and the data is shot back at
you via a dream that night.

4D video game programmers are using this
META-data access to program 4D video games TODAY.
That are about 100+ years ahead of anything you've seen.

You use the child's idea of 'making a wish' + requst data + go to sleep
and BOOM! - you freaking get the answer!

Try this tonight, say out loud:
'I WISH TO KNOW THE TRUTH: ARE WE ALONE IN THE UNIVERSE? '

Then go to sleep.....

Get a strong cup of coffee in the morning...

Its just that the idea of making devices that think for us is kind of funny to me. They make motorized carts for fat people at the grocery store, because they're too lazy to walk to the fucking Twinkie aisle.

Future tech has devices that will be like those fatty carts, but for our brains.

HostGladiator 11-02-2009 12:50 AM

That's pretty cool.

Needs to be miniaturised into a necklace pendant, should be possible with mass production.
