How old is the house you live in?
for those of you that live in houses...
how old is the house you live in. mine was built by my grandfather in the 1940s from lumber that used to be an old schoolhouse. Yes I have scene ghosts here, but since it's always been in my family they don't' feel bad. |
in 1920 the foundation was build for the farm i have. There is some paranormal activity here. But nothing to be worried about. The historiography of the farm has some death and drama situations over the time, but then again, that was then, this is now. I probably dont want to mention previous owners are buried on this ground somewhere on my land. I got a feeling where somewhere, but i didnt wanted to put the shovel in the ground to find out.
|
The house where i live is from 1978 so is 31 years old, i am the second generation here.
|
Now, only about 50 years.
I used to live in a canal house in Amsterdam that was built in 1576.. That was a crazy house, there were bricked up passages, rooms that although got the sun were always cold and just general weirdness. |
Built in 1990. Its not old enough to have perceptions of things that do not exist living here with me.

early 1960s post-war housing..lots of it in London that came up while rebuilding after the war
|
Originally built in 1960-something
Rebuilt it last year. I got a lot of nazi bunkers in the forest nearby, and generally a lot of shit goes down here. Not so long ago while my neighbors were away, I saw their lights turn on. Took the gun and went to check it out (we have no lights on the street here, so I went in ninja style). As I climbed up to take a peak in the window, the lights went out. Turned on the flashlight, looked around - everything was sealed, no windows broken nothing. A real wtf moment. The lights turned on and off in the house all night that night. When the neighbors returned, they saw no signs of forced entry, nothing. The guy is an electrician, he figured there were short circuits.. or that I was high. |

tonight I'm watching TV and my GF is on the other couch sleeping. My basset wakes up and charges at her full speed. Now remember this is an OLD basset and something he never EVER does. When he gets close to her he gets this "pffft' look on his face as if he just scared something away. the he lies down beside her couch in what I can only call his guarding pose. The dog TOTALLY loves her too - absolutly in love with the girl. in the last house i was in he would corner 'things' even though nothing was there and growl at them. I felt a bad presence in that house - this one I feel good things. |
i grew up in a house built in 1840. lots of weird stuff "happened" but of course i was a kid (lived there from 5-14) so i'm sure most of it was more imagination than anything.

Just under a year old

I think 40 years or so old. No strangeness about it, just a nice house I bought 4 years ago as my first house but I've lived in it for 12-13 years now. Bought it from my mum and she moved to somewhere new.
|
25 years old and everything is falling apart - roof needed doing this summer, needed new central air conditioning unit, new fence and patio, ceiling damaged from leak in upstair bathroom, one toilet screwed up
|
49 years old

She is too shy to tell...
|
house i grew up in was built in 1856. its a brick victorian mansion with a dirt floor basement and 6 fire places.
we've had it about 30 years, lots of people have died there and its looks haunted but its not |
over 50 years old.
I no longer believe in ghosts after buying this house. Was supposed to be haunted, my plan was to move to new Orleans, buy an old haunted House and fix it up. So far the fixing it up is coming along fine, but not a single ghost or weird occurence. LOL |
my house is really strange. I've been living there on and off for the past 12 years and it always feels a little weird. It was built in the late 1800's and has had quite a few owners.
For many years it was a children's hospital/clinic, then it was owned by the roman catholic church, then some other organizations, other years by normal home owners. When we got it, the place had a sealed up stairway (which we use now) and signs of dozens of large renovations. Many sealed up doorways from the outside etc. |
Finished in 2009.

Mine was built in 1959. Nothing really spooky going on, I've put in a ton of work updating it with lots of recessed lighting, hardwood floors, new driveway and lots of landscaping, an awesome swimming pool, screen porch with huge hot tub ect..... It's my little piece of the world.
:pimp |
My house was built 1904. We feel good spirits in the house:thumbsup

My house is about 13 now. A lot newer then most of the houses in my town and surrounding me except a handful.

Mine is about 50 year old but we renovated it completely when we bought it four years ago

My current home is only 9 years old.
However I grew up in a Victorian brick home that was dated from the late 1800s. Loved it. |

About 10 yrs old, most neighboorhoods in Vegas worth while are very new houses. I miss the old houses of my hometown near Pittsburgh. Great craftmanship.
|
100 years old this year.
It's an old city house in a neighboorhood that was once the part of town where all the laywers lived. We've got lots of info on the house itself. |
The house that I used to live in was (bought it from my dad) was built in 1970 by my dad and my grandfather.
