Playboy Mansion Party Scam

KTLA reports that 30 people were recruited to be security guards for the Playboy Mansion Halloween party. A dream job was well worth the $225 they were asked to pay up front for uniforms and security passes.

The excited hopefuls were told to meet the organizers at a Denny's restaurant to get their uniforms and be shuttled to Hefner's estate to work the security detail for the night.

It wasn't until they had been waiting at Denny's until 1:00am Friday morning that they realized the gig was too good to be true and they'd been scammed.

Not really it's a very old scam.For example there are phones where you can get job easily and they charge huge fee for each minute.

They must have followed Don Lapre's new program. By placing small tiny classified ads promising a security position at the Playboy mansion party, you can easily rake in 5-10k per ad.

this is becoming a bigger and bigger scam. on the news here a little bit ago there was a "company" charging people $100 application fee for a warehouse job. when the local police and news caught, they estimate over 500 people had paid the $100 fee within the past few months and they have offices all over the US, but to their knowledge, there is NOT JOB :1orglaugh:1orglaugh

At least I wasn't scammed when I was working the security detail for Karen O on August 4, 2009.
