Shooting porn in a hot zip code

i live in a suburb of orlando FL and film some locals from time to time who just stop by office, and never once thought about the zip code and community standards thing until today. i have this uncle in his 60s who doesnt have a computer so i setup him a membership with some adult dvd rental places online. on the checkout page it said that my zipcode here in winter park FL was on the "banned" list and it wouldnt let me complete checkout until i used another family members addy as the shipto. so does this mean its a bad idea to film here, in a zip code on the hotlist?

Depending on what you are shooting, hardcore content production in FL is illegal and can land you in a world of hurt.

Shimmy, shortly after a major prostitution bust in your area from craigslist ads you were talking about recruiting from the same source. I posted a warning but you never responded.

Florida can be a real contrast in sexual attitudes between carefree sun-people and old time sheriff departments.

That underlying charges in that case had a lot to do with prostitution & drugs as well, and it was all happening up in the Florida panhandle near the Bible Belt, so it wasn't just a typical obscenity case and it involved the most conservative part the state. Is there even a specific statute prohibiting porn production in Florida? Or are there just the amorphous obscenity laws?

This is where the problem lies, porn doesnt have to be "outlawed" by a specific statute. Other statutes (obscenity/pandering/prostitution/solicitation/RICO ect) can be used to prosecute the production of hardcore porn, it then reverts to a First Amendment argument as to why the production is protected speech.

But by that time you have been arrested, fingerprinted, possibly jailed and more than likely racked up a nice legal bill.

And people forget that contracting for sex on camera where porn is not legal can possible invalidate your contracts and model releases.

Even though porn production has spread across the US and to states other than California doesnt mean that its okay and legally sanctioned.
