Techiemedia or Cyberwurx hosting?

So, I'm thinking about switching hosts and as everyone knows thats always a big hassle.

I was wondering what sort of experience the GHY community have with cyberwurx and techiemedia? These are the two I'm considering to get dedicated servers with. They seem to have a positive reputation but you never know. Anyone have good / bad experiences with them?

I'd get a quote from Mojohost as well. Brad and company there are top notch.

I can speak for Techiemedia. They are rock solid, offer fantastic support, and always work with people. There is a reason they do not pay for advertising, they get plenty by word of mouth. I am sure they will make your transition smooth.

MaDalton 11-09-2009 12:16 PM

i'm with Techiemedia for 4 or 5 years now - and i get easily annoyed when things do not work that i pay for. so that should say enough ;)

Boss Traffic Jim 11-09-2009 12:46 PM

I have actually dealt with Both companies. Cyberwurx was very good and network was stable, however when I switched to Techiemedia I found it was not even close. The quality I get at Techiemedia far exceeded any other I was pleasently surprised. All the good hype i had read on many boards was proven to be for real. Nobody can be perfect but as far as hosting goes Techie is the closest i have found.:2 cents::2 cents:

From someone running tubes that cant have ANY downtime i can tell you one thing:

Hit up zak, from yellowfiber.net, i have been with them for over 8months now, and as you might know downtime would be deadly for a tube like oneclicktube that relies on making money from embeds (not to mention over hundreds and hundreds of sites relying on our embeds). I have had ZERO downtime.

But if thats not enough, zak is around 24/7, and i mean 24/7. Not only to help with servers and what not, but with any coding and fixings needed that not even are his prob.

Find someone who is on a cruise and is still coordingating his staff to help you?

Ask zak from yellowfiber if you want a hassle free solution that you dont have to worry about.

After Shock Media 11-09-2009 01:10 PM

No messengers for me.
You appeared freaked out in the thread fungus made about me and getting a leg lopped off.

JD 11-09-2009 01:29 PM

Well not freaked out, sympathetic (if thats the right word) with you, and wanted to send you a feelgood.

(Ps. thought you meant i wanted to email you about hosting, thats why i didnt get the question).

Spudstr 11-09-2009 01:57 PM

If I had to choose between the two, I would go with techie.

Adam X 11-09-2009 02:01 PM

cyberwurx..
been using them for years for several of my small-medium sites.. fast tech support..

redwhiteandblue 11-09-2009 02:03 PM

Cyberwurx are good, I like their "paranoid" mode you can have on FTP accounts.

Net Money 11-09-2009 02:30 PM

After many tries with several different "well known" hosts I believe I have landed with the best when i found techiemedia. Others have claimed to be good but Techie has proven and continues to keep proving that there really is a difference. That being said I would cast my vote for Techiemedia.:2 cents::2 cents::thumbsup

bash 11-09-2009 02:59 PM

I will have to say cyberwurx is a good host and will always be in my list of good hosts (which is hard to get on list) as I have very high standards, however as far as top notch high quality hosting goes I have found that TechieMedia is by far on the top of the list. The support is like no other i have ever experienced and i have tried many many others.:2 cents::)

sandman! 11-09-2009 03:00 PM

Out of those 2 choices i would have to say Techiemedia

ravo 11-09-2009 03:09 PM

+1 for cyberwurx; we've been with them for over 9 years; solid support, and techs that go above and beyond to help with issues (even when I screw up).

czarina 11-09-2009 03:10 PM

cyberwurx all the way

andrey 11-09-2009 03:17 PM

Cyberwurx rocks

Andy CHOOPA 11-09-2009 03:54 PM

jimmy-3-way 11-09-2009 04:13 PM

Question is which one do you try first? Back to square one. :error

Lightning 11-09-2009 08:42 PM

Maybe I can be the tie breaker..:winkwink: Although i have heard good things about cyberwurx, I have heard and seen 1st hand GREAT things about Techiemedia for many many years. To be honest it is a pleasure to work with their whole team and it has made my old hosting problems with several old host completely go away. The techie family are good people to be hooked up with for ure.:2 cents::2 cents:

OzKaNoz 11-09-2009 08:57 PM

I've had my hosting at Techiemedia for years and years. Like has been said before by others there great folks and are rock solid. If there is a problem they are fast at correcting it.
Sure I have a link to Techiemedia in my sig but I'm not paid to have it there. It's just damn good hosting.

Oz

Techie seems to be the one most people have good things to say about even thought I haven't heard any complaints about Cyberwurx either. They are little bit more money but cheaper than my current host so its all good :thumbsup

junction 11-10-2009 07:23 AM

Another happy Techie customer showing his support for Jim and Techie here.

CDSmith 11-10-2009 07:35 AM

I could write a book-length post on the history alone of Techiemedia and the two principal guys behind it. suffice it to say I've been hosting with them in one form or another nearly since my start in adult. What can I say, if you truly value your business you go with the best.

My advice: Just go with Techie.

CIVMatt 11-10-2009 07:39 AM

Techie Media for sure

I switched servers as well "Oh don't worry about anything Matt, give us your login" BOOM POW short while later the entire server was moved over and EVERYTHING was working, scripts, links, everything... simply amazing.

Unlimited 11-10-2009 08:15 AM

Techiemedia

Techie Media 11-10-2009 10:51 AM

Wow what a great thread to wake up and see. I have always respected cyberwurx as one of the best hosts in the business and am proud to be considered in that category as well. A huge thanks to all who have posted and supported us as usual. Without great people like yourselves our Techie family couldn't exist.
digi welcome to the Techie family I am confidant you will be as happy with our service as every other member is. I will hit you up later and give you an update on your new server set up.:)

:pimp

Davy 11-10-2009 10:55 AM

Techie moved all my content from the old host.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that I had only some minor problems. Everything was set up the same way it was as on the old server.

fatfoo 11-10-2009 12:38 PM

Never used these hostings.

webair 11-10-2009 12:51 PM

Out of these 2 Techie IMHO

CyberHustler 11-10-2009 12:52 PM

Phat... :thumbsup
