Obama Shows Some Common Sense
 

In an all too rare display of common sense, the Obama administration appears to be blocking the release of more detainee "abuse" photos. The release of these photos would serve no other purpose than to provide endless propaganda opportunities for the Jihadists and the anti-American left as they are splashed on the cover of the NYT, Newsweek and The Guardian while being run in endless loops on Al Jazeera (which is why I am sure many here would support their release).

I am usually horrified by the Obama administration's staggering incompetence but this seems to demonstrate a rare burst of good judgment. :thumbsup

He's been in office for almost a year now and what has he done? Other than drop the HIV/AIDS travel ban into the USA and win the Nobel Prize for doing nothing, he hasn't done much of anything other than talk a bunch of jive on TV.

I'm not saying that. Anyone who followed Bush was going to have their hands full. I'm saying Obama has done nothing since he's been here. It's almost been a year now. He is not a leader. He has never led anything. He's in over his head.

You are fooled by his smooth talk, as most Americans were. So caught up in the hype of "Obama" that they overlooked the fact that he had zero experience that would allow him to serve in the highest office.

What has he done?

His problem is that he does not control his party. This is very unusual in american politics.

Since he came to washington with no experience, & his sponsor (teddy) is dead, its pelosi & reid that run the government, & it is a disaster.

His lack of asserting himself as the party leader does speak to a lack of balls that is required to succeed as president. So far he is showing no backbone, even for things his base wants, like public options & gay orgies in foxholes.

So flaming liberals & special interests are running the boat, so it keeps on sinking...

i think the lack of balls is derived from being a mommas boy...sucks when your dad isnt there to raise you.

Please answer these questions, since Obama is so terrible....

Who would have been able to have accomplished more in this amount of time, and why?

Who would have literally shut out ALL lobbyists from Washington in less than a year?

Who would have been able to totally reform healthcare, against all of the special interests, in this short amount of time?

Who would have united the right and left better, in this amount of time, and how?

Like it or not, this country is divided in a big way, and in no small part due to the incompetence of the last administration. They virtually dismantled the middle class.

Obama was elected to reform healthcare, and to try to fix our economy (among many other things).

Could any of the Republitards have worked with Obama since he was elected? Of course, but they would rather see our country fail, than to see a Democrat accomplish something. Look back at the Clinton days for more examples.

It is time to wake up in this country, and intelligently weigh out who is really fighting for the common citizen, and who is fighting for the large corporations, against the interest of the regular folk.

This includes some Democrat and Independents as well. It is on both sides of the isle, but the Republitards really seem to relish in the mud slinging divisiveness.

Until this election I almost always voted Independent by the way, but not after watching what happened during the 8 nightmare years known as Bush Cheney.

If Obama started a clean drinking water campaign in America, the Right would fight for dirty water, because "that's the REAL America".

Obama spoke a MEAN game until he took office. He still talks a mean game. He has no follow through, and as it was stated above, no back bone. He can't get things done because he is not a leader. He is not in control.

I voted for him. I fell for his promises, hook, line and sinker, as did everyone else. Unfortunately, he is just full of air and unable to deliver anything he promised. I am very disappointed with this, as are many Americans.

Who would be better? Yes, McCain would be better . As much as I hate to say it, he's a leader and would be getting shit done. However, Ron Paul is who should be in there. He's a kook sometimes, but he saw this economic mess coming in 2003! Everyone called him a nut back then, including me. Look at us now. He has been on point about EVERYTHING.

Obama will not get a 2nd term. Not unless we are attacked again and he displays some sense of heroism to the American people, right before elections, which he may do. He is a smooth talking, corrupt, Chicago politician. Unless he fools the people one more time, right before election day, he can kiss that 2nd term good-bye. If this should be the case an the American people fall for it again, then that is what they deserve, and I hope they enjoy the soup lines, higher taxes and hyper-inflation.

If he would DO SOMETHING HE PROMISED before he was President, he would be a rock star. Hell, do ANYTHING! I've never been so disappointed with a US leader in all my life. Not in the sense of making the wrong decisions, but because he is making none at all.

"Give him time" people say. He's been there for almost a year already. All he's done is shown his 1/2 black face on TV every night and day. Well, he did get a dog and win the Nobel Peace Prize, for doing nothing. I guess that counts for something.

He PROMISED to kick ass and take names. He PROMISED it was not going to be the same old, same old. He PROMISED a ton of shit, none of which he will be able to make good on. If he had kept his mouth shut, he would not have so many haters. However, he also wouldn't be president. He can talk the talk, but he can't walk the walk.

I believe he is a dreamer. Big plans, lots of promises and great hopes, but now he has a taste of the real world in the big leagues, he has found out his hops and dreams are dashed.

He actually listened to our Military commanders about Iraq and it's working...people are smart enough to understand aid and war.

Changed the restrictions on stem cell research..

He setup fuel eco standards and some fuel standards for Cali to choose what they want.

Afgan, force has grown, new approach to the war is working.

Gave Americans the rights to visit family and send money to Cuba.
