Do you use page peel ads?

Do you use page peel ads? Quite a few programs I promote seem to have them. I don't personally ever click on them when surfing, so I was wondering if they are good for affiliates to use or mostly just good for branding?

I don't use those.

MediaGuy 11-17-2009 09:39 PM

I think the right-corner thing should stop and we should try left-corner peels...

I think I got two sales out of one of those, out of thousands of hits maybe more, and one of them turned out to be a chargeback (I know it's not the tool's fault, but still...)

Irked, was I.

But you know, i keep them up 'cause they look so cool.

:D

No. I hate them. As a surfer and Webmaster.

the things that piss me off the most are the messenger ads :/ flash peels aren't bad but not sure how much they're REALLY clicked

HDADULT 11-17-2009 10:17 PM

I believe surfers do not click them as much as they are too gimmicky like the POPUP chat boxes.

AmeliaG 11-18-2009 10:11 AM

Okie dokie, so that sounds like a lot of votes for, no, I don't need to add page peels to SpookyCash, because my feelings as an affiliate are kinda the same as other people's.

Jakez 11-18-2009 10:20 AM

I remember the first time I saw them I was like "WTF how'd they make this thing flip/mirror the page and then PEEL like a magazine page?!"............ I still didn't click.

never have and never will - my guess is that most people use them so they can irritate the living hell out of their servers, so here's a free tip: you can complement the peel ads by installing huge Java applets and playing a few midi files simultaneously - if that doesn't chase your surfers away nothing will

CyberHustler 11-18-2009 10:31 AM

Nope, them shits is mad annoying and when I tried them I made no sales whatsoever. I use the IM messenger ads though and set them up to only show up once per session to minimize the annoyance level. They convert.

Work as in makes sales for your affiliates?

Basically, I was thinking I could add them, if affiliates would like them, but I know, when in the affiliate role, I don't use them.

We do 2 peels, one for each of our mainstream sites. We add them to our own pages to promote each of the other sites, and obviously promote them in our cash program. :2 cents:

I would be intregued to know how many sales they bring in!?
