Where do you fall in this argument? I'm no fan of Schneider, but I'm kind of on his side.

It's easy to say he's a jerk, but if you watch the whole thing, it kind of looks like he wanted to move on -- but that asshole in the ski cap kept pushing it, and then acted like a sensitive little bitch over some light ball breaking.

Rob is right, who gives a shit about AM radio, and he really didnt say anything, the radio peeps just got all uptight because they know hes right.

He didn't really do anything, he was just having fun. He has a dry sarcastic sense of humor. Those "hosts" should just go home.

I met Rob at an airport once, he is really short! His wife or gf was a tall hot blonde! Anyways, he was totally cool and shook my sons hand! This was right after Deuce Bigalow movie came out. Oakland, Ca. Airport to be more exact.

Rob did seem to have a bit of a chip on his shoulder, but a radio host should be able to roll with it a bit more. He should have joked back instead of going off like a 16 year old yelling at his parents because they won't let him take the car.

Not Rob's fault even the radio guy said "these interviews NEVER go well" that tells you right there it's THEM not Rob. I'm not sure how the guy in the skicap is qualified to be on radio. At least the other guy was calmer and has the "radio" voice.

they should be lucky that a big name star showed up to their podunck radio station..

they should have had him on the air on time..

Well the funny thing is that he alternately says "These never go well" and "This has never happened before." Rob could have been friendlier and made more of an effort I guess, but it wasn't all on him. He seemed "over it" before it started. But then so did the whole radio crew.

Honestly, I just saw Schneider trying to be funny and the radio hosts couldn't take it. He's a comedian an he made a joke, and Touque boy just couldn't stand it anymore went off and ruined the whole schtick.

The hosts are total douchebags. They obviously have a problem with comedians b/c they think they're funny, as Touque Boy said countless times, "This always happens, they never go well" then goes on to contridict himself saying "it never happens".

Doesn't matter though. Rob was right. He will go on and be more successful than those nobody radio jocks; which I suspect is their main problem for having poles up their ass.

If a radio host can't take a jab and run with it or jab back, they're a shitty radio host and probably boring as fuck anyways. Rob did go a couple extra times at it more than he probably should have, but a good radio host would have just ran with it OR perhaps even jabbed him back a bit or something. The other guy wasn't too bad but the host getting angry as hell about it was a bit ridiculous, and then the woman started on it too. It sounds as if the show host and other dude pick on her a lot as it is so she should be able to take jabs. It's not as if Rob started it out of nothing - if they made him wait in the parking lot a long time, then that'd be kind of upsetting...it's not like Letterman or something where it'll boost his somewhat sleeping career. He's doing them a service even if he is a B-Lister nowadays or whatever.

Reading the comments there - pretty bad when even listeners of the show think he wasn't the one being the jerk. Heck, they left him out in the parking lot AND misspelled his name. I dunno, maybe it's just me but I don't know anyone who even listens to morning radio let alone that show, yet there's no one I know that doesn't know who he is at least. Not the biggest star ever of course but surely he ain't broke. Hell he probably makes more money than all them combined just being good friends with Sandler.

I've been a big fan of Rob Scheider (j/k about the name thing), since he first appeared on SNL. He's worked steadily for decades and has five movies currently in post-production. Oh yeah, and he was born in San Francisco...

I thought he handled himself very well under the circumstances.

The hosts were douchebags that obviously wanted to rag on him, and had few if any set-up questions or jokes. Rob was having to feed them material to riff on, and they totally missed the opportunity, instead trying to boost themselves at Rob's expense by dissing anything he had to say.

They had a chance to make funny and be entertaining with a bona fide star, and they totally blew it.

Well, at least everyone involved got some media play out of it, so no biggy. :2 cents:

I hate listening to idiotic radio shows like that, but Rob's humor was pretty harsh, BUT the radio employee was the first one to blow up so fuck them. In the end no one really knows the context of that situation that day..

The guy in the cap was a complete idiot. He seems like an extra on that show and tried to make a bigger name for himself by arguing with a celebrity.

Rob is by far one of my favorite actors, he can make a complete shit movie, and it will probably be good.
