Anyone here good with SEO that can give me a tip ?

Anyone? thanks.

Barefootsies 11-18-2009 10:54 PM

Yes.

Most SEO points discussed on forums and by the 'experts' are little more than board lore. Most of it is not true, nor how it works in practice.

Make a quality site, and the rest will take care of it's self.

Carry on.

No money in SEO. Best tip ever.

don't quit your day job.

will76 11-18-2009 11:04 PM

It is just a simple question, and I would need to show it to you... only need 1 minute of your time to point me in the right direction... what is a meta description? (just joking about that last part :)

I don't really think there are any secrets unless you are talking black hat.

Old school seo and link building, good content is the way to go. Long term quality link building over quantity + basic SEO strat will earn you good results. Just takes forever but it works.

CPimp 11-18-2009 11:08 PM

go jmega! nice guy right there.

"quality" sites are overrated :2 cents:

a quick look through the serps will show you

try setting up a site with great content but no backlinks or much concern for seo, depending on the subject matter it will only get dribbles of traffic from google

but try setting up some crap site with lame content, but hit hard with intelligent seo work... big difference

of course it's all fun and games until google decides to manually penalize, but putting alot of effort into a quality site can often be a big investment in time and effort without the reward that those that are putting more effort into the traffic generating side of the work will get :2 cents:

anyways, this topic is depressing, I might as well post this:

Most people do not optimize their sites. If you do not believe this, go look at almost ANY tube site, or TGP. You still see it very quickly.

Laziness, apathy, and greed kill most people on SEO.

That said, this remark sums up SEO in general nice and neat.

use lots of hidden text, google prayer tags, and put at least 100 keywords in your image alt tags

I second that.

SEO....

I know so much through trial and error that I just want to give it away.

So, just try something once....if it doesn't work try something else....

I know a guy who can help but he charges way too much money for his time. I know another guy who works a regular day job and is a guru in SEO, he charges cheap.

agree with all that, seo is simple, content quality itself means little (other than the content needs to fit the seo)

Using lots of keywords usually works pretty good.... oh here's an example:

My apologies. I was talking about successful quality site + SEO. Not good SEO alone.

Those are very different concepts.

Sorry about that. Carry on fine sire.

I'm good with SEO.

Now here's a Tip. For red wine stains:

If you have ever spilled red wine on your clothing or your carpet, you know that it stains quickly and is difficult to remove no matter what. Now, there are more than one ways to remove red wine stains. The different methods will probably work, but nearly all of them require one thing in common: you must act quickly. The quicker you act, the better. By attacking a spill just after it happens, you're more likely to stop the red wine from setting and are more likely to prevent a stain.

For your first step, you can do one of two things. You can either pour white wine over the red spill, or you can just blot the red wine with a clean cloth. Either way, do not rub the spill. Rubbing it will only make the stain worse. Afterwards, sponge the area with hot water, being careful again to blot, not rub. Use a clean cloth to dry.

Another tip you can try either in combination with that given above or on its own is to pour salt and warm water on the spill. Club soda is a good alternative to salt and warm water, if you want to try that instead.. The salt will soak up the spill from the affected area. Alternatives to salt include talcum powder and baking soda.

If the red wine stain has already set in, try mixing dishwashing soap with hydrogen peroxide. The chemical reaction should help remove the red stain. The soap creates solubility in the stain that allows the peroxide to remove it. If the stain is on clothing, you can just add this mixture to the wash. On the carpet, pour it over the stain, and blot with a clean cloth.

Like said before, just create a quality site, link to other quality sites, get links from other authority sites and you're set... Just don't think too much about onsite SEO
