The ?Girls Gone Wild? founder is in big trouble with the IRS! The Internal Revenue Service has put a lien against Joe Francis for $34 million they claim he owes. Read more on Joe Francis? financial troubles below.

The IRS claim Joe Francis didn?t pay taxes in 2001, 2002, and 2003 and have put a lien against him for the money owed.

The lien comes just weeks after Francis agreed to a plea deal to escape jail in his federal tax evasion case. Joe Francis spoke to TMZ and said the IRS claim is confusing to him saying, ?I have no idea what it is,? and says he does not owe the money. He says, ?This is total retaliation for me beating them in court.?

Joe Francis claims federal officials seized more than $100 million in cash accounts and says the IRS is forcing him to file for personal bankruptcy.

The past few years have been full of legal and financial problems for the ?Girls Gone Wild? founder. Francis spent time in jail for contempt of court and was convicted on child abuse and prostitution charges. Francis was also accused of filming underage girls.

Then recently Francis was accused of assaulting Jayde Nicole in a nightclub. But Francis escaped charges after police reviewed the clubs surveillance tape of the incident and said Nicole appeared ?to have acted without immediate provocation?.

In addition, Joe Francis reportedly failed to pay back a gambling debt and is also being sued by three former employees he said tried to embezzle money from him.

I don't get it... they say he owes $34m, yet seized accounts that equal $100m... why didn't they just take the $34m and be done with it?

Does seize actually mean to keep or just freeze? Maybe because he won, they are fucking with him until further investigation is done?

I can only speculate here...but when I was with a software company in Houston, the FTC came in and seized all the company's cash and assets. Then they made sure their investigation and legal fees, etc. covered everything that was seized LOL

I might assume the IRS would operate similarly.

when the government has it in for you they are relentless - I was shocked when he escaped jail time on the tax evasion charges. but looks like the government had something better up its sleeve, bankrupting him completely. almost seems like they let him go without more jailtime so he would get all cocky and then just sandbagged him with the 100 million takeaway.
