Womens health sure has changed this week
Guidelines for both cervical cancer and breast cancer change the same week. Seems kind of like a coincidence... announce them both at the same time to minimize the PR flack?
Prostate and testicular cancer are next! |

That same panel has recommended that nonsense for like a decade now. It's always ignored.
The sec of health and human svcs has said to ignore it, and she also said the reaction to the panels "recommendations" took her by surprise. I'd chalk it up to her being completely naive on that! 100% ALL of the nonsense about this meaning rationing and other baloney is COMPLETE whitewash, hogwash, spin, utter desperate bullshit. |

Well my understanding was that this panel has been active for many years and always comes out with it's annual recommendations and that the problem this time was the amazingly naive kathleen sebelius. They didnt get out "ahead of the story" they're saying, lol. And of course it's perfectly bad timing.
The best argument against these recommendations that I heard was from Elisabeth on the View. She pointed out that Utah has recommended age 50 for a long time now. They have the lowest rate of breast cancer detection, and the highest death rate from it.. terrible. I'd be interested to know more about this panel and where they came up with that recommendation because it seems to me it's just garbage. |
It's called the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force
