:2 cents::thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup

bloggerz 11-21-2009 06:17 AM

depends on mostly the traffic

also on how many blog websites u have

then you have to remember the mysql database loads

for your setup 20 - 40 blogs 1 virtual account is sufficient
(assuming your traffic levels arent too high?)

Shared hosting, dedicated IP's.

Correct.

Typically virtual is enough for some blogs. Especially starting out.

HomerSimpson 11-21-2009 11:14 AM

my advice is to go with Host Gator reseller

It's more than enough for 50-100 blogs, every blog will have its account (no add-on domains) and every time you create new account you get different shared IP that can be good for SEO. (if you get the same IP just remove account and create it again until you get different ip)

Good answers so far. Shared or virtual hosting with couple of ips

kmanrox 11-21-2009 01:57 PM

just fresh, unique IP's.. they're not too much load unless you're getting slammed with hits and even then you can use wp-cache to mellow things out

Virtual is more than adequate for most blogs. I run a number and never used anything but Virtual for their hosting and without problems.
Naked Hosting/Certified (in sig) have one click installs of Wordpress so you can be up and running in next to no time. Use the promo 'Gobble' during November for an extra special deal!

I was also going to also recommend Host Gator. Go for there Business plan to get you off the ground and then move up. They are very good on price and they have all the help you shall need with there 24/7 online help.

What blogs do you run at present??:thumbsup

Hard to answer that. Depends on many things like blog number or plug ins number per blog. But ordinary virtual account can take i guess up to 5k uniques per day (of course if your virtual package have enough bw limits). Using Wordpress Cache and taking care of the database is necessary in order your blogs to work faster.

Taking 50 blogs on virtual account that is less than 30$?? Isn't that too much or you just wanted to promote your host gator aff link. Hostgator are well know for terminating virtual accounts who are taking too much resource from the server
