-=question for GFY=-

the majority of stolen cars are usually chopped up does the same thing apply to motorcycles?

We recently had our ducati stolen. F*ck the 909! :321GFY

Semi-Retired-Dave 11-23-2009 08:51 PM

YES, sorry to hear that. I used to have a Ducati. Awesome Bikes.
You may find the frame somewhere, but that's it. That bike is a hot item.

909 will do that to you. Can't imagine a Ducati in the 909. lol

Barefootsies 11-23-2009 08:54 PM

I dunno about motorcycles or chop shops but.....

I know you have some sexy toes.

:winkwink:

NaughtyRob 11-23-2009 08:55 PM

No way dude, I told you the dealership TOLD me you have to start a used bike with a screwdriver.

baddog 11-24-2009 12:56 AM

That sucks. If you did not have Lojack you can write that off. Insurance?

Waddymelon 11-24-2009 01:02 AM

Yep, they are normaly in pieces by the end of the day.

Safest place for a bike is either to be on it, or having it locked in your private garage. If you go to lunch or dinner or whatever, sit where you can see it.

Loch 11-24-2009 01:07 AM

Unless its teenagers out for a joyride, in which case you are probably worse off as the engive can be screwed they get chopped.

SleazyDream 11-24-2009 01:14 AM

what is the 909?

sorry to hear about your bike..... getting stuff stolen sucks

baddog 11-24-2009 01:16 AM

909 = area code. Bikes get stolen in all area codes though.

wdsguy 11-24-2009 01:22 AM

having a ducati in the 909 is a bad bad bad idea. first priority would be to move. Chalk it up as a loss.

Its a area code that encompasses a shithole part of southern california. Nothing good ever comes out of the 909

okny 11-24-2009 01:23 AM

My employee's bike was stolen right while he was in the office, they pulled up with a van and pushed the bike right up into the the van and they were gone, we could only see them drive away as we ran down. But as far as it getting chopped up a big possibility.

AsianDivaGirlsWebDude 11-24-2009 01:36 AM

Catch the one after 909... :winkwink:

This was actually one of the first Beatles songs (purportedly written by John Lennon when he was 17 - circa 1957), but did not appear until the Let It Be break-up album in 1970.

Sorry about your Ducati, PB... :(
