Would I get in trouble for making a website that cache's craigslist?
If I made a website that cache's craigslist so you can see deleted and flagged posts, do you guys think CL or the privacy act will come after me? I mean google and wayback cache's them, the only difference is i am dedicating a site to it. Original creators will have the option of removing the cache. Seemed kinda sketchy..

Why would that site be useful?

Cl has it in their terms that you cannot spider their site.
However, almost all of the categories have rss feeds that you can pull in and do what you want to without breaking any rules. httP://rantsandraves.us is one site I know of doing it with the Kansas City Rants and Raves section. |
straight from their TOS... seems like they allow a fair bit as long as you have zero advertising on your site:

In that case, if any programmers can quote me for this please shoot me an email. I just need it to go to a category every minute or so lets say and copy the text into a mysql database and the pics into a folder on my sever. Let me know
