I have a client that wants to start a niche type adult dating site.
Can anyone recommend a good script?
Something that will work like an aff type site with matching, chat, discussion boards, etc.

If you want an out the box script then I used phpfox to do this site:

PHPfox looks cool, but would need a lot of mods. Might have to go custom here.

phpfox is HORRIBLe i did it for cybersexchat.org when you get around 60k members the sql lag is pathetic.

So what would you recommend? Go custom?
I have seen great custom scripts, and I have seen others that can't take a big server load either.

Are the ads your only income from redhotswingers.co.uk? Am considering using phpfox for a dating site too but am not sure yet how to make money with it besides ads.

I may be willing to sell my webscribble webdate script, If I can remember the log in for updates, its on my laptop. Comes with chat mod, zipcode mod, and a couple of others. There are a ton of plugins available for it. including ccbill and webaffiliate.
