OMG. 4 local police officers ambushed and killed this morning

Four Lakewood Washington (Tacoma) police officers sitting before the start of their shift sitting in a coffee shop working on laptops were ambushed and killed. Just happened about an hour ago.. Within blocks of McChord AFB.

This is within weeks of the ambush death of a Seattle police officer sitting at an intersection in his vehicle.

SleazyDream 11-29-2009 11:02 AM

any news on if the assassin knew the police?

were they dirty cops or good cops?

cykoe6 11-29-2009 11:06 AM

Probably just some organized crime turf battles playing themselves out. The were probably aligned with the wrong crew. :2 cents:

Waddymelon 11-29-2009 11:10 AM

I guess someone passed their gang initiation today.

baddog 11-29-2009 11:17 AM

AFB cops. I suspect we have another Ft Hood incident.

no they were Pierce County deputies

Pretty fucked up, if people are killing c0ps by you.. . Imagine what your kids have exposure to in high school.

eightmotives 11-29-2009 11:47 AM

Sounds like a movie script. This was obviously organized crime. Killing 4 cops at one time doesn't just happen over night. Unfortunate...

Killing cops is even more punishable by law than killing people whose profession is not a cop. Even though all people are human beings. But killing a cop would be a big crime against the state, as well and an act of treason, or something.

onwebcam 11-29-2009 12:25 PM

a hit job

brassmonkey 11-29-2009 12:28 PM

wonder if they were into illegal stuff

SleazyDream 11-29-2009 12:28 PM

pretty good hit man. cops are trained and armed.... way more dangerous to do than just killing 4 people.....

brassmonkey 11-29-2009 12:37 PM

somebodies out for blood

I know you try but come on man.
Yes it can be worse in the US for killing a cop as far as punishment by a judge and how bad they hunt you. Law wise it is pretty much the same.

I do not think it has to be organized crime. Especially when the previous killing. Someone is out there with intentions of scaring people and knocking off cops. Has not happened yet but I wonder if it will add in other career types like firefighters, or other civil servants.

marketsmart 11-29-2009 01:18 PM

1 8 7 on a motherfucking cop....

i think snoop dogg is responsible for this...

Pleasurepays 11-29-2009 02:11 PM

Lakewood is full of.... er... well... the exact kind of people that would roll up and shoot a cop.

Reminds me of when those four cops were killed here in Canada. Although they were killed by an asshole with a chip on his shoulder. Maybe the guy responsible for this shit today has a raging anti-authority hardon?

I dunno, it just seems like if organized crime was involved, no one would be stupid enough to kill four cops. Killing four people is bad enough. Killing four cops? You'd better pray for your ass because their coworkers are going to destroy you.

TheSenator 11-29-2009 02:19 PM

Biker MC have been known to follow cops home and track what they do on a daily basics.

JD 11-29-2009 02:45 PM

This was the first thing that both my father and I questioned about the article.

Semi-Retired-Dave 11-29-2009 05:10 PM

A $10,000 reward was offered for information leading to an arrest.

Is that all they can offer, That's horrible.

That's the initial local Crimestoppers offering for major crimes. I'm sure by tomorrow it will be more.

PersianKitty 11-29-2009 06:03 PM

frankielove 11-29-2009 11:10 PM

As if their jobs in that area weren't dangerous enough, meeting prior to going on their shifts to get reports done and get blown away...I'm 15 minutes away from that coffee shop, not the best part of town.

And the person of interest already was pardoned of a 95 year sentence by Huckabee in Arkansas in the 90's....great!

wdsguy 11-30-2009 12:42 AM

The cafe they were at has setup a donation

kane 11-30-2009 01:38 AM

That sucks so bad. A lot of my friends are cops. I have a lot of respect for people that do that job.

BLOG BURGLAR 11-30-2009 04:55 AM

Guess the race:

"The man suspected of shooting four officers was granted clemency in 2000 by former Arkansas Gov. Huckabee and released on bail six days ago on a child rape charge in Washington."

The four victims of Sunday morning's shooting were veteran officers who brought a range of talents to the Lakewood Police Department.

Wilsy 11-30-2009 05:08 AM

Man that guy should not be allowed on the street. If it is him i can see some heads rolling for this one.

BlackCrayon 11-30-2009 05:18 AM

hope he gets the death sentence 4 times over. he sounds like a piece of shit that should have been killed decades ago.

Bama 11-30-2009 06:52 AM

For fuckers that do this sort of thing - there should be no such term as "cruel punishement". Strap that fucker to a chair and...

Day 1: Take a butter knife - cut asshole few times - pour salt on wounds - let sit

Day 2 - 11: Cut off one finger - use propane blow torch to stop the bleeding - repeat for 9 more days

Day 12: Call in one very hungry rat

Day 13 - 22: Cut off one toe - use propane blow torch to stop the bleeding - repeat for 9 more days

Day 23: Nail his balls to the chair

Day 24: Burn plastic - let molten plastic drip on fucker

Day 25: Can of hairspray and 1 bic lighter - blowtorch to face

Day 26: Cut out tongue

Day 27: Make listen to Ashley Simpson records on full volume

Day 28: Hammer time - and I'm not talking music this time!

Day 29. Place feet in tub of acid

Day 30: Lot of very very very angry bees/yellow jackets

That's my month of fun and games for him! Who gets month 2?

candyflip 11-30-2009 06:54 AM

Does this make it a spree killing or a serial killing?

Sarah_Jayne 11-30-2009 06:58 AM

Really sad stuff....also, until now, I had never thought about police working on their laptops. Strange how in these events you find things out like that.

billywatson 11-30-2009 07:22 AM

CNN just reported he's holed up in a house with a gun shot wound -- possibly dead -- and, apparently, he simply "hated cops".

i don't understand two things...

1. why in g'ds name would huckabee commute his sentence nine years ago?

2. and why was he released on bail after a child rape and officer assault charge six days ago?
