I'm looking for something new to put a lot of effort into. No porn. I want to focus on US visitors.

Not weight loss, financial, gambling, or "hard" goods.

I'll consider something "dating" if it has wide appeal to the US and I get a strong incentive.

Anything good? It doesn't have to necessarily be a new idea, just something safe, reliable, and the potential to make big $$$ for a good SEO guy. The more long-tail keywords the better. Also looking for high payouts, or ridiculously easy conversions.

Give bizop a try. Tons of competition but the market is massive. Just about every mainstream network will carry at least one offer, paying out $35-40+ per $1.90 trial.

Yes it's tricky though you just have to put your own spins on it, create you own LP's, really pre-sell the traffic and don't rely on the offer to do it all on it's own.

Networks such as Neverblue, EWA, etc all of them have bizop offers that you can push. They all convert well for me, tons better then the direction adult is going heh.

your best to think of something that your interested in, have a better than average knowledge of, and something that is not over saturated by seo companies. The just work it like an adult niche. The area you choose has to be something that people pay for, and they they buy or research online. Stay away from snake oils, they are only good for shorterm gains and long term bites.

Good advice mrbaldbastard... but I don't necessarily need to be knowledgeable about it already or even be interested in it for that matter. The difference is nickles verses dollars and 1998 verses 2010. Almost everyone has the knowledge already that can make them hundruds of thousands if not millions online, its just that most ppl are to stupid to realise it, or know what there skills are. Normally those products are sitting right infront of you, and just require a digital camera for content.

If I need to learn about whatever it is I'm promoting, so be it, but you don't need to be an expert in dating to be successful promoting dating sites, nor do you need to be an expert in insurance to sell insurance online. It's about being able to move traffic and have high paying offers. :2 cents:

Focus on local businesses and setup both lead capture and forwarding forms as well as 800 numbers that forward to the businesses.

You will have an endless supply of long tail keywords to work with if you are sending leads to auto dealerships, doctors, lawyers and so on locally.

Excellent suggestion. I've been trying to work out something locally.

Any more pointers? I've never gone this route before but see it as a great potential way to diversify long term.
