Limit trailer views on a tour.
 

Hi,

Aim in need of a java script that can limit the previews on my tour so a surfer cant see all my trailers on my tour but only 5 of them.

Does anyone know of such script ore a programmer who can do that?

I see many sites are using it now.

Depending on what back-end code you're using, I would think it would be something better handled on the server, rather than in the browser using Javascript. It wouldn't be hard to do in PHP with a cookie.

Might I ask why you would want to limit the views of a tour? I think that you'd want them to keep viewing your tour if needed to help them come closer to a buying decision. Just don't post all your member content on the tour.

Mabey you are right and its is on the server but aim not sure.

I do not want them to just see all my 50 trailers on my tour and wank to that 5 is enugh, on the 6 they come to the join page.

Brazzer's does something similar. A simple way would be using PHP sessions.

If you want it to carry over if a user exits your site and comes back later, you'd need MySQL logging by IP.

I also don't really understand the logic of WHY you would want to do this.
I would say that 50 trailers on a tour is too many (probably something in the 16-20 region is more like it) so why not just reduce the number of trailers you provide? Also, if you think surfers will wank to climax over your trailers then it sounds like you've got too much of the good action and not enough "tease only" in the trailers themselves.

Many sites are multiple pages.

On ours, we have 40+ scenes per site, and each site is separated out with 5 scenes per page, and each scene has its own trailer.

It's a tease method, show the browser some images and the promise of the trailer, but then deny it.
