I agree that it is an option that should be considered or at least talked about. As well as tort reform.

Nobody seems to want to talk about either of those.

As far as I was aware the health care bills currently being voted on and debated over have in them that states have to let other companies operate in them. It would also set up insurance exchanges where the companies would compete for customers.

But I may be wrong, there are so many bills and ideas out there it hard to keep them all straight.

If they could still say no or charge obscene amounts for preexisting conditions, hell nah.

considering that most states are run by a monopoly... don't you think that allowing them to sell across state lines would just open the gate for them to monopolize even more and squeeze out the last remnants of competition?
