Okay, let's raise some money for Webmaster Toy Run - Challenge (pics)

Okay, let's get some friendly competition going and raise some money for Webmaster Toy Run.

A couple weeks ago, Oystein created a challenge to his competition and clients to meet or beat the Mansion Productions donation of $250 to the Webmaster Toy Run.

Thursday I turned in a check for $300.

http://juliablue.com/dec09_3103_tn.jpg

I am issuing this challenge to anyone that is incorporated (LLC, S-corp, whatever) to meet or beat my donation. I know things are tougher this year than in the past, but if things are tougher for us, imagine what it is like for those less fortunate.

PLEASE HELP in any way you can.

This is strictly NON-PROFIT for underprivileged, inner city, Sick, disabled and Terminally-Ill children this holiday season.

* WHAT WE NEED:
* ? New toys for boys and girls (ESPECIALLY TOYS FOR TEENAGERS!!)
* ? New Clothes for infants to pre-teen (Boys and Girls)
* ? Checks made out the charity of your choice (See website for recommendations)
* ? Your help promoting this cause (Link to the site Via A Blog or with one of the banners)
* ? Volunteer drivers to deliver toys in the LA Area
* ? Any other resources you can offer to help generate funds for these kids.

Baddog seems to be in the philanthropist spirit. Not only does he collect for charity, but he also gives away replies to gfy to people that have some substance.

I like to give away charity myself - but the downside is that people call me a fucking retard, because I supposedly wasted too much money.

Well, let me tell you - where I spend my money is my own business. They should stop counting my money and mind their own money.

Respect Baddog.

Here's a pic of Christian's car slammed to the top with toys.

Still time to kick down for the kids people. So much negativity all the time around here, prove to us that the GFY community has heart.

Let's see some toys and clothes for the kids!

I don't believe Wiis were given to individuals.

OH, Here is an idea.

SOMEONE BUY A BUNCH, I MEAN A SHIT TON OF BATTERIES

A - AAA - C- D batteries.

When we got to the register and I got to my limit of spend, the cashier asked me if I wanted the batteries that go with the toys.

So, I thought that we would suggest someone who is planning to give, go get some AA, AAA and D Cell batteries, as they are needed. Those are the common sizes. A few 9V ones would come in handy too.

Thanks

FYI

all wii's and peripherals, games etc. we given to the organizations directly. The hospital childrens wards, the orphanages multi purpose rooms and the city's toy loan program (In house facilities) all received the items for in house use only,. not to be given away and not to be loaned out. We have personally seen that they have done this so there was never any worry about only a select feww families gettng these coveted items.

However, the feedback from last year has been that the wii's have really helped with the ability for rehabilitation for some and rewarding the kids for good behavior at the orphanages.

Not sure exactly what you mean but we pre sort out the toys by gender and age groups make sure the toys are appriate for each particular agency (i.e. any toy guns, swords, projectile items cannot be distributed to foster kids or orphanages but are ok to other entities.)

We do our best to provide the correct items to the correct agencies based upon their yearly requests...we are not perfect but I think we do a Descent job.

hope that helped answer any questions/.
