Right now, many parts of the business world is transitioning to the internet age and the internet has become a big part of the distribution model for many varying industries and this has caused a ton of disruption and a lot of the margin was in distribution, you read about it every day when some long-time established model falls in ruin to the young, nimble model
tons of companies trying to figure out how to fit their model in the new information age, trial and error, music, movies, news media, support models, etc.
we just signed a new client, the biggest college textbook clearinghouse (they buy/sell college textbooks to students). back in school, i was amazed i had to pay $150+ for a school book, and now with a way to inventory them + fedex, you can now find one for
$30 in that same situation.
and i thought it was interesting that when much of the world is trying to figure out how to adapt to the internet, on gfy we have people that have 10+ years experience with the internet marketing knowledge that is in such short supply right now
