Yobt.com Team decided to change view of our directory entirely.

Now we plan NOT TO list content of your blog posts, but place links to your BLOGS and link LATEST TITLE of your blog, thus 1 post on our blog directory
will look like this:

1. Title of your blog, linked to your blog
2. Description of your blog, if it has
3. Updated date of your blog
4. Title of latest post on your blog, linked to your post.

In HTML it will look like this:

<a href="http://www.myblog.com" title="My blog title">My blog title</a><br />
Here goes short description of my blog.<br />
Last updated on 07 Dec 2009: <a href="http://www.myblog.com/2009/12/07/my_blog_post_title.html" title="My blog post title">My blog post title</a>

so now we will not list content of your blog posts (thumbs and descriptions). This will eliminate all questions about indexing of your content, which are
asked by wembasters from time to time.

Currently a lot of blog directories require webmasters to ping their xmlrpc servcie in order to rank blogs.
We DO NOT ask for it, our script will regularly check your blog's RSS and after it finds an update - your blog will get higher listing.

As a result, by updating your blog, let's say every day - you get:
1) link to your blog from main page of directory, plus link to your blog from niche page
2) link to your latest blog post from main page of directory, plus link to your latest blog post from niche page

We also plan to implement a calendar, where we will post blogs and posts that were created at the current date, kind of archives.

With the new links structure your blogs will get a very good links from trusted resource, and there will not be any need to worry about indexing of
your content.

In summary, we believe that all these changes will increase the interest of webmasters to our blog directory.

why such an emphasis on updates?

updates != quality

I like that a lot better. Not a fan of your old blog directory.

True that. I have a dusty blog that wasn't updated for months and is still better than the majority of the blogs in its niche.

who did the design on yobt.tv?

i really just care about the backlink. the update stuff is just gravy.

Yeah, updating your blog is for losers!

Its works for us. Would you preffer to send to our general blog or one our niche blogs. Keep in mind that all of our writing is done by real writers and not gallery dumps.
