I love the first snow fall of the year, it's so amazing, with the tards who forget how to drive in snow every year and get into accidents, and since I live on a major highway in my area, I will be able to see many of them, haha!

But also because new animals reactions to the first snow fall and snow in general.

Not had any signs snow here (yet).

We're supposed to get just slammed with 15 inches of snow tonight. I can't wait. Don't work tomorrow, gonna get some friends together and build a massive snow fort on the side of the hill by the Highway.

We hardly ever get decent snow here. Last time I seen a good amount of snow was when I went boarding in Scotland. Nice dogs btw.

Iowa, just outside of Dubuque which is on the border of Iowa, Wisconsin, and Illinois.

I'm psyched for the massive amount of snow, as I live 5 miles from our local ski resort, I'm gonna go snowboarding constantly.

Do you get snow like that every year or just getting part of this big storm?

Where I live we usually get about 3-4 days of snow every winter and it pretty much shuts everything down. Last winter during Christmas we had about 10 days of snow and it was cool to see, but not fun to exist in. They don't have enough plows or gear to clear the roads so they just plow the main highways. Getting to a major highway was an adventure.

Not the first snow of the year (that was actually on the last day of summer) but, this is from October when we got our biggest snow so far this year.

love the winter. cool pics. just some flurries in the NY area so far.

Here in Denver we've gotten about three feet so far this year.

But here in Denver it's not like the mid-west. A normal winter storm for us is two feet of snow over night, then the next day it's 60-70 degrees and all the snow is melted in a day or two. We get as much sun as San Diego, and we're a mile high closer to the sun so it's usually really fuckin sunny and warm.

We're still in the middle of the storm hitting you right now as well. It's been damn cold and it sucks. I'm used to wearing a tshirt almost all year round but it's fuckin cold out right now. Not supposed to warm up till Saturday. :(

We get fuck-all snow here in the UK but plenty of rain.

The one with most white on him is full Pit Bull, the other is Shepard cross with Rottweiler.

I am sitting at my table in shorts and a tank top looking at these and laughing my ass off. Today you love it in 4 weeks.. Not so much.. It was 81 here today with a nice breeze.

I like winter, but summer is still my favourite season :)

Uh, yeah because the Unibomber had a small city with 57,250 people in his back yard.

Sure not big in some city standards, but in Iowa, it's the 9th biggest city in the state. Not only that but we can't be very small if IBM is setting up one of their most important offices in our city...

In 4 weeks, I'll have a badass snow fort in my yard, and be spending countless hours at the ski resort not even 5 miles from me snowboarding, in 8 weeks, I'll have more snow fun going down, and by March, when the snow starts dissipating, then I'll be happy.

I grew up in the frozen tundras of Wisconsin, I'm not new to snow, or hate it. I enjoy it and have developed many ways to enjoy snow instead of be bitter about it, like many people have been.

11 inches of snow lastnight, it's hella awesome.

First snowfall of the year is 100% guarantee that you'll be able to find me outside building a snowman. Either alone or with help, I'll always build a mother fucking snowman. And I'll always be horrified when I come out the next day and find it's been kicked over. Every single time :(

Then you'll be able to find me in my car, wide open and sideways as I dodge small children and cute puppies in a glorious four wheel drift.
