GOOGLE's Fade in is FUCKING ANNOYING - a few ways round it
 

1. One blunt solution - use this as your google homepage: http://www.google.com/firefox

2. Use firefox (seems to work right off the bat, otherwise install this script: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/63436)

3. Google sort their fucking homepage out. I bet there are less than 1% of web professionals who have fade effects on in windows or any other applications, it wastes time and is irritating.

WTF are they thinking?

Yeah I was going to post about the same issue. Very strange that the people at google thought that was somehow a good idea.:Oh crap

Whoa! When did this fade in come in? I usually use the keyword box or type in my search in the address box so I rarely go to the front page.

i use firefox so never noticed until today. mcdonalds in brazil does not support firefox so I had to open ie. I just thought the internet was slow as google loaded funny.

Didn't notice it until this thread, I search straight from my address bar.

I'm guessing it's to make their search form look even more minimalist.

this and the recent NEWS LIVE Search are really bothering..

also, takes a lot of ram and resources.. two very bad ideas.. wondering if they changed the "new ideas apartment staff" on mountain view.

It does the same thing in firefox on their MAIN homepage... no script will kill that shit dead if you disallow google.com

or you can just to go the firefox start page instead, which was mentioned earlier.
