last i checked montreal is a lot closer to toronto than it is to los angeles. i'm also pretty sure it's in another country.

moreover, even if chihuahuas make-up 30% of rescued dogs in california, a "house of horrors" animal shelter in canada is NOT lesser cruelty.

they're the worst pets too. neurotic, aggressive, shit and piss everywhere no matter how you train them, yappy-est dog ever, sensitive to blood sugar changes... my sister has 2, they're cute but they're such a burden.

We have a chihuahua. We rescued him from a puppy mill where the conditions weren't that great. He was born with a malformed eye, a crooked frame, and his tail is broken.

He's an awesome dog.

some people should not be allowed to have pets. i know this girl who had 3 dogs she adopted and then got evicted for having animals and tried to give them away for months and no one wanted them.

the humane society did not check with her apt complex to see if it was ok for multiple pets, as well either did she.

most of the people who buy animals then have to give them up are stupid young girls who need a companion. Rather, they should just buy a fish or a lizard :1orglaugh

These people go down the the Beverly Center and buy a $2k dog they see in the window instead of saving the life of one of the thousands that are desperately waiting to be adopted.

Piece of shit Obama could have adopted a dog from a shelter and the lemmings everywhere would have followed. That act alone would have most likely saved tens of thousands of animals this year alone.

Some people want a pure bred dog. That is fine because right now due to the housing crisis there are TONS of absolutely gorgeous dogs in shelters that cost thousands of dollars as puppies. You can usually adopt one of these dogs for about $300. The gorgeous dog (Magic) in my avatar was a $3k puppy. Look at how freaking grateful he is in that shot. He KNEW he was being saved. Let me know I can hook you up :thumbsup
