Who Watches "Hoarders" on A&E?

My favorite was the last one where the woman had 8000 lbs. of debris removed from her home - included was two dead cat carcass'.

Who else is into Hoarders?

BradM 12-10-2009 12:00 PM

ya i watch it sometimes if nothing else is on, I am done at the gym and I have finished jerking off.

BV 12-10-2009 12:00 PM

I saw that one, Pretty bizarre.

The one with the lady that had all the old rotting food everywhere takes the cake though.

You should have seen the drawers in her refrigerator.

Yeah, I can't imagine what the smell must be like. And then water and gas is usually turned off so that leaves the toilet all gross and then they have portable shitters, that I assume don't get cleaned.

BradM 12-10-2009 12:03 PM

It's strange that humans can survive living like that. It's completely wild.

TurboAngel 12-10-2009 12:05 PM

I watched one night some woman had all kinds of out of date food every where. The next day I was looking at some jello I had it it was out of date, kinda freaked me out as I felt like a hoarder LOL

I have an uncle like that... every fridge and freezer is packed with food and the stuff in the fridge rots.. he wont let ppl in his house any more and when you peek through the windows you see stacks of trash and paths from room to room.. really fucking sad

potter 12-10-2009 12:45 PM

I saw one. My mom and my grandparents were pretty bad. Not like in these shows, but when my grandfather decided to move, at 60 years old. We ended up having to rent one of those giant garbage containers which sat in his driveway for two weeks while we had to remove everything from the house. My mom isn't that bad, but man she is a pack rat.

I'm the complete opposite. I throw away perfectly good shit all the time because I don't think it'll be of any use to me in the next two years and if I need it again I'll just buy a new one. I'm wasteful.

Daddy Big Nuts 12-10-2009 12:49 PM

Man....my wife is so hooked on that show. It amazes me how people who come to visit the houses have to wear a mask to breathe...but the poeple that live there don't? wtf?

I had a thread up a couple of months ago, about all the stale dated salad dressings etc in my fridge, freaked me out as well:1orglaugh

DaddyHalbucks 12-10-2009 12:53 PM

The one episode where the insects bit the woman's foot and it got infected was crazy. There were used adult diapers everywhere. I can't believe people live like that.

Bored 12-10-2009 12:54 PM

It will get old soon, like intervention. You cant top that duster chick. God I love A&E

TWO dead cats? Pshaw. Did you see the one with 40+ dead cats? Those people weren't even true hoarders though, they were just old and had medical problems.

Ahhhh good I'm glad I'm not the only one! LOL I went and looked at the dates of EVERYTHING after that. Jello was the only thing I had out of date.

Shoplifter 12-10-2009 01:21 PM

Scariest show on TV.

Haven't seen them all yet, have to take it in doses. Takes me a few days to get over the disbelief of people living like this.

haha, I was thinking earlier today that every household with a male in it has a porn hoarder in it.

Dood 12-10-2009 03:02 PM

My grandmother is a hoarder. She's not as bad as those on the TV show but she lives in a 3500 square foot house that's completely full of junk and hasn't been cleaned since at least the 70's. Half of the rooms have been closed off because you can't walk in them and the other rooms have trails to follow so you can get thru them.

Then she'll come to my house and find a speck of dust on the side of a ceiling fan blade and tell me I must not be a very good housekeeper.

My BF discovered it after most of last season's eps were already out and developed a strange obsession with it. He's going to flip when he finds out there's a new one. :1orglaugh

BobG 12-10-2009 04:25 PM

I've wanted to watch it but I can't. I just can't, I have to change the channel. I'm not creeped out easily but that show is just scary. Intervention on the other hand, I love. That last episode with that old fella who sucked at the internet was a good one.

kane 12-10-2009 04:30 PM

I've seen one episode and it is disturbing and fascinating all at the same time. I have seen a house like that in person. When I was about 12 years old we moved. As we were looking at new houses the Realtor took us to one house and before we go in she tells us that it is messy, but that all the garbage and stuff will be gone before we move in.

Basically every room was floor to ceiling garbage. There were no beds, just mattresses on the floor and there were pathways that led from each room. I would say about 85% of the house was floor to ceiling (or very close to it garbage) the kitchen was so piled up with stuff that you couldn't tell where the stove even was (it was buried )

It was pretty messed up.

justinsain 12-10-2009 04:30 PM

Every so often there's a story on my local news where they had to go in a house like that and take the children out for their safety or the person living there passed away.

I can't bring myself to watch the show on A&E but I was wondering if these people are ever cured from their disorder.
