Possible solution to the Dirty D vs Shoehorn dillema
 

I am in the fortunate position to know both. We only really talk at shows but still I know both are good guys. It really bothers me to see this conflict between two goodguys. They are hurting their own businesses and business in general.

Both are doing well financially and analysing the problem I highly doubt this is about money. This is all about principal and pimphand. Two good guys playing a game of poker not being able to back out. I think Shoehorn knows his sales were debatable. I think the hurt is in the fact that traffic was still accepted. I think Dirty D knows he failed not putting up a TOS. He probably feels he can not pay Shoehorn though cause he might feel he would open up a box of problems where other affiliates would try to find flaws in the system and get paid.

Shoehorn has tried to step in the direction of Dirty D by saying he only wants to get paid for the original sales. Dirty D has tried to step in the direction of Shoehorn by offering the alternative of getting paid 100$ a month per new sale.

Again this leads me to the conclusion it is not about money. I think Shoehorn strongly feels that Dirty D should pay. Dirty D feels he can not pay Shoehorn. This looks like a catch 22 but is not.

How about it if Dirty D pays the money to charity?
The webmaster toyrun would be a good cause in the spirit of christmas....
How about it guys...lets drop the pimpthing and both agree on doing something good for charity?

How about Dirty D jacks off with Shoehorn in a theater and get arrested with him? That would make a helluva bonding experience.

From the shit that came out in that thread, it would appear, if true, that Dirty D isn't the "good" guy you claimed. It simply means you are not one of those he fucked over. One man's trash is another man's treasure.

Until this issue, I always liked D. These days, I find it hard to see him as a good guy.

Giving the money to charity would mean that Dirty D has conceded. From the looks of it I doubt it's going to happen. Just look at the "Curiouscash non payment" thread, it's been going for months, CTB doesn't give a shit.

He should just pay the guy, he didnt have what was neeeded in the TOS, he s at fault

At this point, it's not even the Shoehorn drama that he has to contend with. Fucking over a business partner and the other stuff that has come out doesn't really help matters.

Lots of people who won't ever go near his program from this point out.

as a point of pride d will never pay. no affiliate that sends real sales will pull their links in this economy. people will get bored with it and move to the next drama. the end.

Knowing someone at a show is a "good guy" means nothing.

Dirty D is a thief and if shoehorn wants to take the money he gets and donates it in his name to get the write off its his business to do so.

I'd like to say D took a black eye with all those page views, but reality is you can do anything in this business and get away with it.

I have had very pleasant and honest conversations with both. I do not think they are good guys because they buy me drinks. I tend to look beyond that. They are different persons but I am 100% sure that if I would lock them up in a room together for 24 hours they would end up as friends.

He refused to pay on traffic that many others accept.
He didn't state t hat he wouldn't accept that traffic.
He continued to accept traffic without contacting or paying.
I'll say that again, he noticed what was happening and instead of contacting shoehorn he just altered nats so shoehorn's checks wouldn't go out = THEFT
He comes in insulting shoehorn and everyone else.

there are countless examples of people happily sending traffic to those who are/could fuck them over. aff, brazzers etc. they will just do it quietly now. sure some no name will drop some links but really that doesn't hurt dirty d's bottom line one bit.

It does, maybe not much but it does. I can state as much because I will be leaving him off of a project I am working on. I will just add another similar site for that niche or someone else.

Affililate programs are a dime a dozen, most of it basically the same shit just repackaged with a different name. If I am going to try someone new the first 1 pick is not going to be the one that has flashing lights over it saying " i am an asshole, I might not pay you, I make up the TOS rules as I go, people have made allegations that i shot underage content" etc etc etc... Sure everything comes down to money, but you can't try everyone out at once. You have to pick someone to try first, i think people will try out his competitors first.

I have to agree with you there. He's never bought me a drink and he isn't my bro. I've only met him a few times and spoke with him at shows and he seemed like a decent enough guy with a good sense of humour.

He needs to man up, accept that it wasn't in his ToS and pay Shoehorn.
