Google and privacy concerns.

Seriously... Do you guys honestly think that Google is collecting as much information about your surfing habbits so they can send the police to you or something?

I laugh at all you faggots who think Google is so evil and is doing all this evil shit. It's fucking hilarious.

Google is only collecting necessary information, and as much of it as they can, so they can target you with what you'd like to see, advert wise...

They aren't sharing any other information with others, just what their advertisers wanna know, your interests, age range, gender, and location....

And about their webmaster tools and stuff, don't do shady shit that is against Goog's rules and you won't have to fucking worry about having your precious keywords ripped from your hands...

Think a fucking bout it, you stupid idiot... Say Google is penisbot.com or something, you have your galleries or whatever it is you think is totally awesome and makes you money like a pimp, and you decide to cheat their rules and shit, you think they won't get pissed and remove you either? No. Google is no fucking different, except they have deeper pockets to really fuck you over if they wanted too.

I don't wear a tin foil yet, and I'm not skerrrrrd of Google knowing who I am, and what I'm doing, why? Because I'm not doing anything illegal, and look, Nothing has affected my sites or their rankings.

fuck Google, they are too big for their britches, competition is good and anytime one company becomes much too powerful it is not a good thing

Why? Do you think they are gonna create a t-virus and infect people and make them zombies or something? HELLO MCFLY, this isn't the Umbrella Corporation!

That's what is freaking everyone out all of a sudden. I can't believe nobody realized that is and has been the case for a long time now. That has been a real possibility before Eric Schmidt said it and it doesn't just apply to Google. ISPs, hosts, any communication provider can have their data subpoenaed. The only way for them to guarantee their users privacy is to not retain data (and Google's business model revolves around storing and organizing large amounts of data).

I just don't like the direction Google is going. Their aim, which is plain to see, is to take over as much control of the internet as is absolutely possible. There is just nothing good that can possibly come of that, and they are not stopping at just internet. They are digging their fingers in every facet of media and communications they can.

I mean, competition is a GOOD thing, and I don't see how letting Google reign supreme can be a good thing. A large part of what they do seems to work on the "buy up this nice little company and give everything away for free to crush the competition" sort of gameplan too.

I don't see them doing anything super mad scientist or anything, but allowing them to take a stranglehold over the internet isn't great either. They're smart about how they do things, but I can see them running into trouble some day and being forced to break up the company.

Just for the hell of it, linkdropping one of my favorite Goog paranoia articles...
