Holy crap that was good! If he was only protecting his family she would have lived. She was the last one in the cycle!

Fuck, that was a season finale, what are they going to come up with next year?

If he calls the police Trinitys family will see his pics in the news. Smart thing would be to cut up Rita and dump her body, just tell everyone she left him and the kids.

No, I doubt he will do that.
In the end what do Trinity's family know about him? Nothing, just that he's Kyle Butler a volunteer.
Ehhh.

No man think about it, a full blown investigation police would question his family about rita and sure enough they would see dexters pics and they would say hey thats Kyle Butler not Dexter Morgan. Then Dexter would have to explain being Kyle Butler to the police.

That could happen, but how is he going to be able to convince anyone that Rita just disappeared leaving him and the kids? That'll be a stretch too and where did she supposedly go?

Wonder what they will do :)

Well what else can he do and not get arrested? We are acting like a bunch of girls talking about a soap opera hahahahaha

I know this is probably awful but these were my exact thoughts as well.

With an investigation comes many questions. Why would Trinity target Dexter Morgan or his family? Will Batista remember when Trinity was standing in homicide talking with Dexter? Will they then review the security tapes to confirm Arthur Mitchell did indeed pay Dexter the visit.

If Rita gets added to the victim list Dexter and fam will be in the paper and Trinity's fam will see his pictures and his real name. It's almost better to ditch the body.

I hope they try to answer these questions with the start of the next season and don't just sweep it all under the rug and start a new story line.

OK, he's my prediction for next season-

Dexter becomes a suspect in Rita's death / dissapearance either way they wind up having Dexter handle it.

Evidence that points to Dex would be his increasing rage and recent problems in the marriage which can be supported by many characters and situations that happened in this season-

Relationship Coach / Therapist- knows that Dexter and Rita's marriage has been rocky, probably knows about Dexter smashing motion sensor light

The neighbor Dexter punched in the face- good example of Dexter's rage escallating to violence and can attest to tension in the marriage

Massuka- witness to Rita kissing the neighbor, and knows that Dex and Rita are in therapy

Miami Sheriffs Deputies- arrested Dexter after a hit and run incident when he became enraged and smashed the cell phone of the other driver

I'm getting the vibe that Dex will have to fight to keep himself out of jail and keep the kids- what's left of his family- together. I have a feeling Deb will play a big role in helping him make that happen.

I"m disappointed. I believe they have become too predictable. Here's what I think is going to go down.

Trinity was threatening Dexter's family so in order to keep them alive he had to throw the cops off trinity's tracks by planting evidence in exchange since the cops found out anyway he killed Rita and disappeared. End of story there.

Dexter and Deborah will eventually end up together and raising the kids as one big dysfunctional family.
