Google launches goo.gl and Facebook launches fb.me URL shorteners
http://mashable.com/2009/12/14/goo-g/
http://mashable.com/2009/12/14/fb-me/ Will be interesting to see how this pans out for the little guys like Bit.ly. How long til Twitter gives them up as default shortener and goes with Goo.gl? Seems like Google would pay nicely for that. Meanwhile I have one of the shortest letterwise and physical lengthwise, l.tl ("little") waiting for a home. Would have thought Google would have gone with something like g.gl for shortness sake, but not sure if .gl does single-letter registrations since most extensions don't. |
Very nice...

And I'm pretty sure of those, at least one or two sold for 5-figures. .me has had some surprisingly nice sales. |
I'm pretty sure Google just owned any url shortening service out there... Nobody will be able to be better at it then them...
