Dear friends, i been looking for cms for my sites and upcoming indian network and find out there are too many available cheapeast to expensive. Sitedepth, joomla, drupal, carma and elevatedx as well.

What you people think about Elevated X please. How good is it if we compare with other cms available like carma and others. :helpme

Integrating cms can turn out to be your worst nightmare. I highly advise you to get in touch with people who have used the cms's that you're considering and ask them not only about how well the cms works but also about how easy it is to customize or have it customized if you need and last but definitely not least, ask about their support. Unfortunately, I'm sure you'll hear some support horror stories for most of them aside from Mansion's MAS.

I use MAS from Mansion. Works great, easy to have customized, awesome support. Nonetheless from setup to launch... can get complicated and can take time and be frustrating. I dumped several of the cms's you mentioned for lack of support before choosing Mansion. Lot's of people make the wrong first decision and have to dump one cms for another which costs time and money so i suggest you do lots of homework before you decide. If you're the kind of person who requires support and technical assistance, without a doubt, save yourself a lot of head ache and go with Mansion.

AJ is one of the nice guys in this industry.

Elevated X has been great for us. VERY easily customizable, quick helpful support. We have never had a problem.

I played with Elevated X at Playboy, pretty good system

12-18 months ago our templating system used XSL which was powerful but difficult for non-technical people to work with and some clients had bad experiences.

Since then we've made major changes to our CMS including 2 new version releases with nearly 60 new features and improvements. We also spent a great deal of our own time and money adding a different template system (Smarty). This was done to avoid clients having negative experiences with customizing the templates.

We chose Smarty because it's widely known, tons of people in and out of our industry are familiar with it and it's HTML based which makes it much easier to use.

I'm still confident in saying that you will not find a better system to run your network :)

nemesis: yes, I did. They said to setup the cron on the server, and would notify me when a trojan has changed my code. This obviously does NOT keep the trojans from attaching themselves to the script.

Both Elevated X and MAS are great systems...Each system has it pluses.

You need to demo both to see what works best for your needs.

One constant with both systems is that Sexentertain and all our studio lines are integrated in both Elevated X and MAS.

Does elevated x have an import tool when moving from an existing cms. I have some sites on site depth and some on a custom cms thats a bit behind the times.

OK, I think it's time to say something.:)
Let us warn respected public against this silly attempt of blackPR. Let's explain the situation.

1) WHO?
As you can see here and here, we persistently asked who is she in aWIZ licenses list? - no answer during ...TWO WEEKS(!) although you see - she is on the board. Let me suppose why: no such aWIZ customer, just blethers.

2) WHAT?
You also can draw attention to the fact that nobody else of 1000+ aWIZ customers on any industry board never complained of so-called "trojans problem" with aWIZ during 9 years of aWIZ life, or at least affirmed the same problem in czarina's threads.

3) WHY?
Since czarina don't want to stop posting this shit and doesn't answer to our simple questions - the only we can to do is to explain the situation as we understand it. Normally such aberrant behavior take place when some other product provides the person with some kind of bonuses, discounts or special conditions and its glorification on the boards is an evident or implying part of the bargain. Such deal is quite suitable for the person who parasitize on the 3rd part products by providing his/her additional services like design/integration into the scripts. Just sadly when moral principles of such person allows him/her to defame other marks just to advertise the mark he is depending on. We don't see any other explanation to this person's virulence and unyieldingness of the lie by other reasons... But, well, it's a business:)

4) And at last regarding aWIZ:
Anyone of aWIZ customers who contacted us about trojan problem - knows that we never respond with such stupid suggestion as to place the script onto the cron. Anyone of aWIZ customers knows that the files permissions matter can be solved if customer requested it. Anyone of aWIZ customers at last knows that aWIZ support provide fast and effective assistance during 9 years - large testimonials section is available on aWIZ websute as well as a lot of customers opinions may be found right on this board.

I think you have a great product, but isn't it your place to spend your own time & money to make your product better?

It's not a requirement, it's a choice. Every business chooses how to use their resources. Some choose to put their resources into improving their products and services and some don't. I can list a slew of them both in and out of our industry who don't do this and I'm sure you can too.

Nobody is forcing us to do this but yes, since we're committed to continually improving our system and we do actually want our clients to be successful it's our place to spend our resources on what we've chosen to spend them on.

This is a mixed answer but I hope it helps.

1) We have a CSV import function that works well. The catch to this is that it requires the data to be in CSV format and this can be problematic when dealing with content locations. It's great for importing other data such as titles, site, models, categories, etc.

2) We can do database conversions from ANY other CMS. The cost and turnaround time is far less for conversions from an existing commercial CMS than from a custom system. Please shoot me an email at [email protected] with some details as to what you're looking to do and I'll reply with more info on the options and the process involved to do a migration/conversion.

3) Adding content sets to the system by hand isn't as bad as many people think. Recently while working on our CMS demo site I was able to add about 275 scenes in 2 days by myself including titles, descriptions, associating models, and cropping a preview thumbnail for each. It's actually not "that much" work considering it's a 1 time project and the benefit is great.

Most times unless someone has over 1000 sets of content they opt for doing it manually since the time/cost benefit of automation usually doesn't make sense for a project that would only take a week or so to complete if done by hand.

I've never tried it but I've been shopping for a while now and everyone has only good things to say about ElevatedX.

I have dozens of satisfied customers using ElevatedX.

Actually, I'm not much on the boards lately so I had no idea you had ever posted anything in response to my comments about Awiz. If you wanted to know who I am, you could've contacted me via email or icq; may be you should try those methods first.

Anyway, I own 2 licenses of Awiz. One is the basic with I use on one of my sites, and the other one is the plus or premium or whatever it's called, which is used on my network. BOTH of them have had issues with trojans in the last couple of months, thanks to the brilliant idea of YOUR programmers to install Awiz with all files set to chmod 777. We lost over 30 members due to this on a single weekend. It cost us dozens of hours of cleanup work to get rid of the trojans. So yes, I am very disappointed on Awiz, and yes, that is why I recommend people not to buy it.

To top it off, every time I put in a ticket you guys reply like I am a bother instead of a paying client.

If you do a search on GFY for my posts where I mention Awiz up to 2 months ago, you'll see I used to recommend it. Several of my clients have bought Awiz because I recommended it. But that was BEFORE Awiz caused me no end of headaches.

NO, I dont work for any other company and NO, I dont get any bonuses from anyone. I just call it as I see it.

I am using elevated x.. i am super happy with it.. Aj converted me over from a sitedepth database and it worked great.

i have over a thousand 1,500 sets.. and elevated x work perfectly..

there support is great.. smart / fast / great support..

aj is a super great guy also.. if i have questions.. I just hit him up..

We didn't ask anyone to come post in this thread so thank you to those who saw our name and clicked the link and posted here. I can't even begin to tell you how much we appreciate reading posts like those made here by people who own our CMS and are actually using it to run their sites. It's really nice to see positive feedback from our clients, this is the stuff that keeps us going!

Awizz support sucks ass IMO

Sent in a ticket and the response was "Let us know when you have a real problem" lol

Deleted it all and put up WP CMS.

Happy with WP CMS and Claudio has helped every inch of the way .

Why? MAS has not had an update since 2005. No one seems to be able to skin it, documentation is is like a another language. With out direct support from mansion I have not met anyone yet that has actually been able to make it work. I own it and am looking for the right CMS to get so I can dump it.

You can answer in your thread about aWIZ and trojans - then we will post analysis of the flight there.

P.S.: Strange why people who post the shit are finding a time for long fairy tale and still haven't a minute to just copy-paste their domain? Does they needs to give us no chance to answer with the REAL facts? :)

I've done some work with Elevated X and I like it, cant comment on the others as never used them.

MAS hasn't been updated in ages, both Mansion and Carnage are hopefully forthcoming with better products. After a handful of dissatisfied Paysite CMS customers hating it I have one that loves it so there is hope. AWIZ has had security and support problems, basically old school and first to market but far from the top of game today.

I gain nothing from AJ and EX but it leads in all respects. I know PSCMS is working to be first in tech but they have ground to Gawain in satisdlfied to unhappy ratio. AJ has a new version coming soon which IMHO will reassert them as number one and raise the bar again.

They all have good products, basically, and most are in the same price range. My advice is to speak with each of them and see which is the best fit for your business and then weigh in feedback from everyone. I also advise to pick the product that works as you require from initial installation so that you don't require custom programming.

I say Carma because I've tried another inexplicably well regarded CMS and I couldn't make it work with multiple sites. The CMS company itself couldn't make it work. A fuckload of techs I hired to make it work couldn't make it work. After all the bullshit, hassle and thousands and thousands of wasted $$ I hit up John, got Carma, problem solved immediately. It was night and day. So that's why I like Carma. They also have a ticketing system in place, and while they don't answer their tickets with the regular four second response time of Natnet (the Kings of Customer Service) they do answer them promptly, and they answer them 100% of the time.

As far as MAS goes... well I know Oystein ;) Can't see him putting out anything and not supporting it directly but I'm not speaking from personal experience re MAS, admittedly.

Get ElevatedX. Great support, total template flexibility and great people behind it.

It took me walking up to Oystein at the Flordia Internext to bitch about Ross to finally get the ball rolling on a ticket I had put in and PAID 500 bucks to do AFTER waiting for over 3 months to get it done. (It was a server move within the same hosting company, just a newer faster box and an edit to the members area layout which could only be done by Ross)

See, I had paid Ross (Mansion) extra back in the beginning to setup my members area so I could sort it via the different models we shot with. (I believe this may be able to be done in newer versions but not sure)

They also did the design work inside the members area, and I don't have any of the design originals so I can't even edit it.) But, no designers seem to know how to design for MAS.

His (Ross) coding meant I could not just go in and do what I needed to to change the site. (the change was basically taking all the content and putting into one large video category. and to get the rotation working.)

On that note, I have NEVER been able to run multiple sites. I tried once to setup a second site and wanted to use MAS as it's backend... even ROSS couldn't get it to work. (finally shelved it).

When he finally did do it, it was not done right, (lost my actual video "page" where the video opened up in the player now it only pops up) enough to work so I just finally said screw it and let it go. In the ticket I literally laid it out step by step what I needed. I would post screen shots of the actual tickets and dates, but all I can access are my emails back and forth with them as my access to the ticket system seems to be out once again. (I just tried)

Recently, (this spring) I move again to Mojohost. They (Mansion) wanted 600 bucks to move the script over. Mojohost did if for free and I don't think it took them all of 10 minutes to make it work.

But, at this point I'm afraid to touch anything in there for fear it will completely take down my site. (Like adding the JWplayer so I can do Flash video in the members area) Sure, they have some instructions for how to do it on Mansions support site, but with the history of this script changing one fricken period could spell disaster. Mojohost has offered to help and try to get the jwplayer installed so I can use the wowza server I have, I'm still just scared it will somehow take down the script and my business will be shutdown. And, even if they did get it working, there is no instructions on of course how to use it, or how to upload video so the script could see it etc.. it would be a total hack job at best and do I really feel like running a 6 thousand dollar hack job? (LOL don't twist my words, Mojohost's work wouldn't be any sort of hack, just the instructions that I have seen supplied my mansion to do this.) It of course also bring up the fear that, when the day finally does come, would doing this change make it impossible to update the script? I say yes. But then again, since the scripts not seen an update of any sort in almost 5 years, I guess that should be the least of my worries.

I'm done with this script. I was one of their first customers, I help sell a few other copies to others I knew and I paid multiple times for add ons and script ideas the ended up in the main script. Do I feel a little sour.... you bet.

I have used Awiz for a couple of years on kinkykicks.net and it has worked great for me. I certainly never have had any trojan or other vulnerabilities and support has always been top notch. I tried Sitedepth on tyrantteasers.com and found a little more flexibility for what I wanted, although I did finish up paying for extra mods, but Sitedepth support is very hit and miss.
I find my self needing a little bit more now as we develop and I am in the process of rebuilding kinkykicks.net using ElevatedX. As everyone suggests ElevatedX is indeed an awesome bit of kit, but it is of course significantly more expensive. I was tempted into a package to include hosting with Webair and so far my experiences are all good.

Friend, please stick to topic dont fight concentrate what we are doign market is stil very tight dudes...... concentrate to make more and more nto just argu with fellow webmasters....
