FHG and script for thumbs
 

Hi,
Our site have new FHG templates :

I did not create this templete but i have to use it. All inside this galleries is automatically generated by the data base.

I already got some comments about the 5000 px resizeable picture, and now I got this :

Many scripts will not understand these galleries and you will have a
big troubles with traffic from your adverts - a scripts will not be
able to find a pics in your free hosted galleries and will not make a
thumbnails for TGPs.

Could I know if many of you use scripts to manage TGP and what you think about our new template.

No-body to give me an idea about TGP scripts ? :(

It means that I can't be a lazy motherfucker and just import your galleries right into the database, but rather I have to upload and cut a thumb for every gallery I want to promote.

It's fine for a tgp owner and well ya nothing to whinge about there, however I would look at the fact your offering the qaulity you are for a larger pic from a FHG, basically there saying (from what I see) that a tgp they submit them to won't add it to there site because of the fact the larger pics don't end in .jpg honeslty don't meen shit no big tgp is going to list FHG anyway....

I think you need to scrap the template you just showed us.

Not even a hint of nudity when I open it and the thing that stood out the most was the 'close' button.

not many tgp's will bother listing your gals if your fine with this go ahead with that type of template.

What tgp's list Sponsor hosted galls these days anyway, care to share???

90% or more of tgp's that run smart thumbs use nothing but fhg's i dont know where you have been but there are more tgp's out there with fhg's then without nowdays.

I might been little confused as per his user submitted question:

I merely thought it was a submitter saying his galls wouldnt be used by any tgp's, I run few myself that I would list that gall np, it doesn't have anything wrong with it (from Spnsor Hosted gall that is) on a whole you said it wouldn't be listed or should be fixed wondering why....

when i hear FHG's i think gals sponsors give to affiliates to put on thier sites dont know exactly where you got the whole submitting thing i think this is just a newbie paysite owner that does not really understand tgp's.

One time or another lots of Affiliates used to submit FHG to normal tgp's, yes was many moons ago guess might been getting nostalgic carry on..... but again what is wrong with template as you said.....

I don't think you can even buy spots or convince many webmasters into using that layout. Most TGP's have minimum requirements that this does not meet. Rules are not just for submitters. Many TGP's will not compromise their quality for affiliate hosted galleries.

You can get innovative with the design but the excessive links, low thumbnail count, and not linking the thumbs to the jpgs will not be good for business.

It's why you don't appear on any of my sites... it's stupid to use lightbox on an fhg... and while some tgp script might be able to pull out a thumb it's a huge hassle. These are fine for a blog or members area... they suck for webmasters who want to promote you.

Both.. a few weeks, maybe a month ago.

Basically if a webmaster imports your gallery into smart-scripts.com 's smart thumbs then it wont recognize the thumbs to be able to crop the gallery.

Means 90 percent of TGP webmasters cant use your galleries.

way too many out going links
get rid of the Javascript
main images and thumbs need to be JPG extentions
Clean up the html when you fix those things
get rid of the header completely

Most tgp scripts will 86 you for those reasons

yep... keep it old school html, direct links to jpg for images etc...
also make better thumbs - these are blury!

So, after reading your comments, and reviewing the problems listed, I created a FHG and MGP myself.
Remember that the FHG from the designer was like this:

I was quite block by the problem of the URL, because all our system is done that every URL is not clearly readable but is a code...

But to help, we had the possibility to add an extension to the URL, so it is Z18wMDlfbGl6emllLXNlZV9zdXJyb3VuZGluZ19UaHVtYl9GaG cuanBnBmR7p2I0pl8lZGt3Y2yg.jpg

So before, I go more deep to hell to redrawn all the system, can some of you test this FHG and say me if it works with your scripts? :)

So about scripts, I got input from Tanker (CCbtools.com) and some others, we are going to remove the menus from the header and down the page...
What else ?

This is much better now. The only minor issue I can mention is absolute lack of closeups.

ok, so after some time back to the basic programming of the whole system...
- The design of the FHG and MGP was completely redone to come back to a more classic concept
- The resizable 5000 pixels picture is history!
- The URL of the thumbnails and pictures are not code anymore, but ?normal? URL that every TGP script can read
- External links are reduce to the minimum
