Damn it Webair!

Doing away with Virtual Accounts phone support may not have been your the best idea!

Somehow I created a php mail() loop and can't break it, its not a big deal as far as where the mail is going, it is going to my personal account but this is on a shared server, I know that the amount of mail it is sending is affecting others on the server as well. Had webair still had phone support for Virtual accounts I could have just called and had one of the support guys put a stop to it immediately.

But with no phone support its submit a ticket and wait and wait, and wait and feel guilty as shit because other ppls stuff is being affected by my mistake!

Yeah I made a mistake but it could have been cured relatively easily if there was still phone support or atleast chat support!

I don't know about you, but I just did some script installs on a webair account and live chat was right there at the top of the page. I needed it once, and it was right there LOL!

Maybe it is because this is a REALLY cheap plan. I mainly use it for testing when I am writing a new script, so I went el cheapo... lol

Upper right hand corner of your CP on webair, there should be 3 or 4 links. The Live Help is the second link from the left up there.

yep that the same one I get tat message from... oh well, I have escalated it, not much more I can do except hope at this point. It just sucks because I know it is screwing up everyone else on that server too, it has to be, I am averaging about 150 emails a minute, still...

CPimp 12-18-2009 01:06 AM

Damn dude. There's no way you can like copy and paste it into a text editor, then remove it from the server until tech support can help you?

goldfish 12-18-2009 01:14 AM

I have fixed the problem with the script, some how a mail() got inside of a if/while loop that always returns false, so just keeps sending but its going to execute until the if returns true, which it never will.

I have tried removing the file from the server, but I think it will just going to continue, right now my personal mail server has blocked the sender, but we'll see what happens in a few minutes, its only a temporary block.
