Need call center service

I'm looking for a company that will be able to provide a 24/7 call center in Philipines ( or any other country where the accent is minimal ). I've had quotes for $700/mo. but I don't expect more than 500 calls per month. Is there someone who can provide that solution for a better rate? I'd also like them to have a LIVE HELP feature as well.

I'm talking to them right now but they are twice as price as most places. Any good reason to go with them for that price?

baycouples 12-22-2009 01:09 AM

So, I think I'm more educated on what I'm looking for:

- 24/7 call center
- LIVE HELP ability where you provide the software
- Reasonable price ( it can't be like $2 per call ) but I'm willing to entertain the "unlimited" package.

bump to you!

So it sounds like you are looking for 24/7 service, minimal accent, and you think 700/mo is too much because you don't have any call volume?

As a call center owner I do not find this project interesting. Its not really enough work for one person, yet in order to cover the 24 hours I would have to hire 3, AND find something else for them to do when YOUR customers are NOT calling, but something that doesn't take so much focus that they could still answer your calls reasonably quickly.

What you need at this point is a secretary, and an answering machine. Look for a call center when the project requires more manpower than you can manage.

So, what would be your advice and how much do you think I should pay?

iSpyCams 12-22-2009 04:29 PM

Well the lowest you can pay a 3rd world phone rep who speaks good English is like 400 bucks a month. You can go less, (maybe) but you are risking them finding a better job and suddenly leaving, rendering your training and any experience they have acquired useless. (to you)

That 400 is only the call centers direct labor cost, (for one shift) and doesn't cover any overhead, phone minutes, or margin.

Why don't you hit me up on ICQ at 353-496-007 and we can discuss in more detail. I may have some ideas that can help you, but I need to understand your needs better.

Essentially though, my feeling is that you are going to have to establish some customer service hours and drop the 24/7 requirement in order to bring the price closer to what you are looking to pay.

I've tried one of the services and it turned out that their operators don't speak good enough English, have thick accents and can't follow a simple Q&A script. Can someone recommend a service that can accomplish that. I don't need the operators to do refunds, cancellations, upgrades, etc. They should just know a few answers to a few questions ( which I provide ).

Listen to the guy above you, and he is being conservative, to do true 24/7 you would need 4 agents, because you have to take into account cover for sickness, holidays... your low call volume doesn't change that.

The other solution is for them to cross train existing staff, so agents answer your calls between other clients calls, but for $700 a month I don't think a single company will go through the scheduling and training nightmare it entails.

ICQ conversations are cooler than phone calls. Why?

Because I can talk to 10 different people at the same time - that's harder with a phone.

Easier with text conversations.

Fine but for the $700/month I'd need them to do much more and be very good with English and with customers in general.

I am not trying to sell you anything, just saying that low call volume has little incidence on price, and that if you don't change your 24/7 requirement it will be impossible for you to find what you are after :2 cents:

I understand now. Can you recommend one?

Have you thought about setting up an automated menu system where people can use the keypad to find frequently asked questions along with answers? If you are only using the system for frequently asked questions and not any real "service", I would think that you could find a way to automate everything as much as possible and eliminate human interaction quite a bit.

Already done that. But I do want my customers to be able to have their questions answered at any time.
