I've been waiting for it to hit a stable release point.

But are there any good themes updated for it? With Christmas coming it can be a mistake to update your wp version this fast.

i'll be sticking with 2.8.6 probably into the new year unless something forces me into an update earlier. holding out to see what sort of issues arise yet. if my blogs were auto-updating on me i'd be a little irate.

i'm sure they'd give you the option though if you'd like that though. still don't see it happening. i know what you're getting at tough...

It's about time they added thumbnails!

I just installed it and tried to use thumbnails.
It says function not found (even after adding some stuff to the theme's functions file that is supposed to activate this).
Wordpress = FAIL

What is this wordpress you speak of? Can I use it as a sex toy?

The cropping/resizing feature and post thumbnails. Looks like this release was made specially for adult blogging needs.

Fix some bugs in the 2.9 upgrade that may break your RSS and Scheduled posts, pings, etc... (Simplepie, Curl)
