Who is your favorite, number 1 actor/actress?
Who is that 1 actor/actress that even without knowing what movie it is, will go watch just knowing they are in it?
Me? I'd have to say Edward Norton... Not 1 movie of his I didn't like. |
|
If to name only one, i'd say Robert De Niro.
|
Christopher Walken....
That guy is never not entertaining... |

For some reason, I've ended up an old fart and never actually "go to see" movies anymore, more like wait till they come to me...
But I tend to look more for the directors of a movie than the actors to dictate what grabs my attention since more often than not, they throw up new actors actresses. eg in point, someone I know personally (though said, not well), Spike Jonze, in my eyes made the name "john Malkovich" a name from his film "Being John Malkovich".... not the actor who had done tonnes before/since then. However, if you've never heard of him or that film, surely you've heard of Jackass? Case in point for my pov.... --edit badly placed points, since john malkovich is well known (now, but not before that movie), but too late to edit ;) |

I see your Jean Reno and add a Gerard Depardieu :thumbsup |
Acts the best (pretty much in order): Edward Norton, Kevin Spacey (would be higher than Norton but IMO hasn't expanded his horizons as much as Norton has, at least that I've seen), Morgan Freeman, Samuel L. Jackson, Christopher Walken, Denzel Washington, Jim Carrey (say what you will about him but he's fucking hilarious and has done dramatic roles very well too), Robert Downey Jr., Meryl Streep (I feel bad only having 1 actress on here but unfortunately most of the popular actresses suck IMO and are chosen for eye candy - she's the only one that comes to mind that's pretty good)
Picks the best movies to act in (aka I like most of the movies they're in, not necessarily because of their acting): Bruce Willis, Brad Pitt (and both are in Twelve Monkeys, one of my all-time faves), Harrison Ford, Jeremy Piven (he's never really in the BEST movies, but just in a ton of really good movies and does a pretty good job in them) Sorry, can't just list 1 when it comes to actors. :P |
Crispin Glover.
|
Honorable mention to Patrick Stewart too for Captain Picard...he does that role so well, he needs to be cryogenically frozen and thawed out once we have spaceships so he can be the captain of one of them.

I find Sam Rockwell to be consistantly good. Looking forward to Gentlemen Broncos. I also really dig Justin Theroux alot and seeing Danny McBride listed in something peaks my interest. For actresses I like what Michelle Williams has been putting out. :thumbsup |
|
Jack Nicholson, Clint Eastwood, Morgan Freeman and some of you may know this actor (plenty of Brits here would do I think) Tom Hardy.
|
ed norton and nicholson have to be up there
